I Keep Seeing This One Jumper Everywhere and Think It's Worth the Investment

If you spent the downtime over Christmas break like I did (catching up with Instagram while binging Netflix, obviously), then you will probably have spotted one jumper cropping up again and again. Ganni’s scarf-neckline cable-knit jumper is a thing of beauty, and it is a piece we would definitely consider to be a modern classic here at Who What Wear. So it’s no wonder so many influencers and editors have taken the plunge and added it to their wardrobes already.

Shall we talk about what makes it so great? Well, firstly, the cable-knit pattern is so timeless, looks expensive—especially in cream—and is always one of the items on my winter capsule list. The traditional knit makes even the simplest pair of jeans look super luxe and cosy. Secondly, it’s versatile. I’ve added some examples below of how fashion girls have been wearing it so far, but it seems to look great over leggings, with jeans and even with smart trousers.

And finally, the thing that’s convincing me most that Ganni’s latest knit is worth the investment (at £345, it is an investment) is its longevity. I like that it’s on-trend enough to get me really excited about wearing it right now, and the scarf neckline and slightly oversized fit keep it feeling fresh, but it’s also simple enough to be brought out winter after winter. I see a lot of cult fashion items come and go, but there’s no doubt this knit will be worn for years.

It’s still in stock online for now, so keep scrolling if you’d like to shop Ganni’s jumper or one of the other brilliant cable-knit jumpers I found.
