37 Cozy But Cute Items Under $40 We're Buying From Gap's Epic Sale
Could your loungewear use an upgrade? Since working from my childhood home for the past few weeks, I've quickly realized that my high-school sweatpants, college crew-necks, and ancient underthings are just not cutting it anymore. (I'll spare you the photo evidence.)
Thankfully, Gap, a longtime purveyor of colorful, comfy attire, is having a truly epic sale from now until March 30. Everything on the site is up to 60% off, plus an extra 20% off at checkout with code ADDIT.
This online-only sale is the perfect opportunity to replenish worn-out workout gear, bras, underwear, and, of course, sweatpants, sweatshirts, and tees that have seen better days. If like me, you're ready to level up your video conferencing 'fits, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.
With that in mind, I spent a few hours browsing through Gap's best sale picks and came up with 37 cozy-but-cute items under $40. And because some of these items are actually worn byBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing staffers on the regular, I asked a few colleagues to share their favorite new finds and must-have basics.
So what are you waiting for? Get your scroll on below and don't forget to add the bonus 20% off code at checkout.
Bras and Underwear
Not leaving the house next week? Me neither. This bra is comfortable enough for both working from home and watching Netflix on the couch after dinner.
Real talk: I've been wearing these strappy sports bras since high school. Now's a good time to retire some worn-out favorites and embrace some new hues.
"Ready to fall in love with a pair of underwear? Let me introduce you. Earlier this year, I decided I should probably purge some of the decade-old underwear that had overstayed their welcome in my drawer. I bought a veritable panty buffet from many different brands. This Gap pair became my favorite—even compared pairs that were three times as expensive. They are soft. Curiously soft. They stay in place and are like a lovely gentle hug for your bum. No riding up here. In this new era of spending way more time at home in comfortable clothes, any underwear that's the slightest bit uncomfortable has languished in my drawer, and I'm taking advantage of this discount to stock up further on what I am confident is the underwear love of my life. PS: They run true to size." — Kat Collings, editor in chief
"Don't call me crazy, but I love underwire and I hate padding. Whenever I see a bra with sheer, thin cups buttressed by sturdy underwire, I have to immediately buy it, because they're the rarest breed of bras out there. This blue shade will be perfect in my collection." — Aralyn Beaumont, copy editor
"I swear by Gap's seamless bras under tees and light sweaters, and they are beyond comfy. I love anything ribcage length because it means it doesn't ride up." — Natalie Cantell, senior director of branded content
This cropped sports bra will carry us through spring and summer.
The perfect sports bra to pair with your favorite square-neck tank.
Pair the top with the matching high-rise leggings for a fire WFH workout 'fit.
"If you're ever wondering what undies I'm wearing, let me solve that mystery for you." — Cantell
"I exclusively wear this racerback bra for exercise (I don't need a lot of support, just something for yoga and Pilates that feels barely there) and travel. It's super comfy and the racerback means your straps won't keep slipping when you're schlepping your bags around." — Cantell
Pants
If you've ever wanted to embrace bright '80s workout gear, now is your chance. If more neutral hues are your thing, don't worry—these perfect joggers come in black and gray, too.
I keep a pair of these at my boyfriend's apartment, but now I need a second pair for my own place.
If you want to buy just one pair of new workout leggings this month, you can't get any better than these.
Alternatively, if you're looking for any excuse to sport a pop of color, these color-blocked leggings pack a cute punch.
"I originally bought these joggers to wear on my 24-hour flight to Africa last year. I had already spent a ton of money on the trip, so I was looking for something a little more affordable (but still ultra-comfortable!), and these did not disappoint. I came home and immediately bought two more pairs. They're definitely my go-to cozy pants." — Anneliese Dominguez, branded content editor
Another clever way to inject a pop of color into your WFH wardrobe.
I don't know about you, but theBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing team is really into online group dance classes right now, and these pants make us feel like we're back in the studio.
Tops
Remember the slime-green trend? Well, we're bringing it back with this crisp crew-neck. (Don't worry, it comes in plenty of other colors, too.)
Think of this as the grown-up version of your favorite high-school hoodie.
It's hard to resist a crew-neck sweatshirt with a pop of pink on pink.
A tunic sweatshirt sounds absolutely perfect right now.
This tie-dye cropped sweatshirt is this month's MVP of every WFH wardrobe.
A few of my favorite words: textured, stripe, raglan, crew-neck, and sweatshirt. Sold.
Cozy enough to wear to sleep, but also cute enough to wear on your first conference call of the day.
Trust us when we say that now is the precise time to stock up on these vintage-wash tees.
Another versatile top that gets the job done from day to night (and maybe even a midday workout in-between).
Finally, this short-sleeve sweatshirt is exactly what I'll be wearing when the weather warms up and I can crack a window near my WFH desk.
