Hannah Waddingham Looked Absolutely Radiant at Last Night's Emmys—Here's How
Goaaaaal! Or should we say Emmmmmy? Either way, actress Hannah Waddingham scored big last night at the 73rd annual Emmy Awards when she took home the trophy—the first in her career—for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Rebecca Welton on the Apple TV+ hit show Ted Lasso.
Waddingham looked absolutely radiant in a custom coral Christian Siriano gown paired with Anabela Chan jewelry and Gianvito Rossi shoes. Styled by Cristina Ehrlich, this modern goddess vibe was only enhanced by Waddingham's inner glow. So while a custom Siriano gown may not be in the near future for the average Ted Lasso fan, Waddingham's makeup artist, Stephen Sollitto, let us in on a little secret: her QMS Medicosmetics skincare routine (which Sollitto used on the star in the days leading up to the event) is delightfully accessible, even for mere mortals.
Keep reading to get the play-by-play from Sollitto on Waddingham's skincare-and-beauty look. There's no shame in trying it out at home, even if it's just for your next Zoom meeting.
"Always start with clean skin. Here, I used the QMS Cleansing sponge and QMS Deep Gentle Cleanser, which removes all makeup and impurities from the skin."
"To hydrate, first apply QMS Day Collagen for overall skin appearance."
"Next, I apply QMS Collagen Serum in Oil to promote deeper hydration."
"I use the QMS Advanced Collagen Eye Lift sheet mask for a quick pick-me-up around the eyes."
"To fight fine lines on the lips, try QMS Lip Line Corrector. This is great to smooth lips for liner and gloss, which will be applied later."
"For the next 10 minutes, I use the dreamy, creamy QMS Power Firm Mask. You can feel this mask hydrating. I remove excess with a clean cloth."
"Lastly, I apply QMS ACE Vitamin Day Night Cream, and her skin is ready for the day, hydrated and fresh."
"For Hannah’s makeup, I always apply foundation first. With a wet sponge, I gently wipe Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, making sure I cover her neck as well."
"For concealers, I love Beautyblender's Bounce line. It's creamy yet doesn't settle in creases."
"With a loose brush, I dust Chantecaille pressed HD Perfecting Powder to set foundation but not bake the skin."
"On Hannah’s eyes at the lash line, I use MAC Teddy Eye pencil, a perfect wearable bronze."
"Then, over that to darken the line and complement her greens eyes, I tap MAC Sketch, which is a dark burgundy and a great alternative to black or brown.
"On the lid, I use MAC Mulch, blending out with a clean brush."
"Under the bottom lashes and with a smaller brush, I sweep Beautycounter Sepia back and forth for a bronzy, smoky effect.
"On the upper lash line to deepen the look, I use Tom Ford Liquid Eye Liner Eye Defining Pen."
"I define her eyebrows with Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Powder duo."
"On Hannah’s cheeks to mimic the dress, I use a Chantecaille Blush in Smitten, a spot-on peach."
"Lastly, on Hannah’s lips, I use Buxom’s PlumpLine Lip Liner in Confidential and gloss over that with Róen Kiss My Liquid Lip Balm in Rumor."
"And before she puts on the dress, I spritz QMS Hydrating Boost spray to add one last bit of freshness to the skin. Hannah is stunning and glowing in her gown and upswept hair—a perfect look for her first Emmys."
