10 Healthy Halloween Treats That Don't Taste "Healthy" At All
Halloween is coming, and that means delicious goodies and treats that will take you back to your childhood days. But those little fun-size bars can set you back in the health department—and fast. (Hello, scarfing down the whole bag—oops.) So what to do when you want the sweets without the guilt? Good thing we have the internet. These Halloween treats are actually (relatively) healthy and are great for curbing your second trip to CVS.
1. Pumpkin Chocolate Dessert Cups
Sorry, Reese's. You might have met your match with these pumpkin-chocolate cups by Alex of Delish Knowledge. Pumpkin is packed with fiber, and these are naturally sweetened with maple syrup. Plus, they're vegan and gluten-free.

2. Paleo Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
Sure, it's not actual pie, but this fall smoothie from Jordan of Smile Sandwich will keep you going and tastes pretty dang close to the real thing. (Plus, it's obviously Paleo-friendly.) There's also coconut milk and protein powder inside.

3. Healthy Butterfingers
These are not only healthy but vegan to boot. And taste exactly like the original. Katie of Chocolate Covered Katie made this with just six ingredients—no bad additives here!

4. Chocolate-Dipped Pumpkin Seed Brittle With Sea Salt
Put those pumpkin seeds to good use, and use dark chocolate for an even "healthier" version from Kelly of Just a Taste. (Hey, it has antioxidants!)

5. Silly Apple Bites
Bring out your inner child with these monster-like apple bites from Cara of Fork and Beans. (C'mon, it's fun.) Ingredients include sunflower butter, but you could definitely use peanut butter if you're so inclined.

6. No-Bake Coconut Bounty Bars
Coconut and chocolate, oh my. These bars, from Katie of Chocolate Covered Katie, taste, again, so much like the original candy bar—and (again!) are vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, refined sugar free, raw, and Paleo-friendly. Plus, did we mention they're no-bake?

7. Paleo Witch Finger Cookies
Gruesome. These finger cookies by Taylor of Food Faith Fitness use strawberry jelly and almonds for their terrifying look (and great taste). They're Paleo- and vegan-friendly, too.

8. Dark Chocolate Coconut Ghosts
Healthy cupcakes get an upgrade to ghosts with coconut frosting. Natalie of Feasting on Fruit added Medjool dates for some natural sweetness. Scary good. (Sorry, had to.)

9. No-Bake Chocolate Crunch Cups
Like a Crunch bar, but with peanut butter. This recipe from Katie of Chocolate Covered Katie only uses three ingredients: chocolate, peanut butter, and crunch. Any questions? Sub in almond butter or cashew butter if you that's preferred. She says you can also add chia seeds, hemp seeds, crushed walnut, or almond or peppermint extract, too.

10. Chocolate Cockroaches
Easy peasy. It’s chocolate-covered pecan halves. That's it. That's the recipe from Brittany of Eating Bird Food. The simpler, the healthier we say. These are vegan and gluten-free.
