The Italian-Girl Summer Uniform You Can Buy (and Wear) Everywhere
When we spotted Italian über-blogger Chiara Ferragni Insta-captioning the below outfit as her "summer uniform," we immediately understood why. There are few other such ultra-simple combinations that are so easy to assemble while remaining entirely on trend…
On Chiara Ferragni: Are You Am I Naia Bodysuit (£97); Re/Done The High Rise Mini (£173); Acne Studios Mustang Sunglasses (£230); Hermès bag.
All you need are these two things as a base: a denim skirt (mini preferable, but we'll accept longer hemlines any day) and a black bodysuit. And those two items are pretty easy to come by on the high street and within designer echelons.
Chiara isn't alone in this discovery—only a few days ago did an American counterpart, Bella Hadid, join the crew. The two of them have accessorised the basic formula in order to suit their personalities (glam sunglasses and a Birkin bag for Chiara, bovver boots for Bella), and that's the crux of this two-step outfit's versatility. That, and the fact that slimline bodysuits help you stop needing to rearrange where your top and skirt meet every two seconds.
On Bella Hadid: Reformation Christy Bodysuit (£59); Re/Done Short Denim Skirt (£195); Dior Split Sunglasses (£360) and boots; Givenchy Micro Lucrezia Bag (£850).
