The 8 Different French Makeup Looks of Jeanne Damas
When it comes to hair and makeup, Jeanne Damas is the epitome of French-girl beauty. She's a self-confessed lazy girl when it comes to her routine, but that's probably why we're so into it. Damas never looks like she's tried too hard. Her classic (and signature) pillowy pout is always painted, lashes always curled, and hair soft and natural. But other than that, Damas never really switches up her beauty look. She's found what works and has remained true to it, and it's that low-key beauty look we're totally in awe of and obviously want to re-create ourselves.
We know that her cleansing process and daily hairstyling is at the minimal end of the scale, but her beauty look has become so recognizable that it made complete sense for her to launch a beauty offshoot of her successful fashion label, Rouje. It includes the most "Jeanne" item of them all: red lipstick (available in many hues). Keep scrolling to see eight times Damas was our ultimate beauty icon, plus the beauty products she is never without.
Sure, it's no secret that Damas loves a red lip. But we're totally into her '60s-style nude lipstick. Plus, those earrings…
Damas has previously spoken about her technique of using the same lipstick shade as her blush, and we reckon that's exactly what she's done here. The berry blush-and-lipstick combo ties her whole look together. (It's lazy-girl makeup hack number one.)
Who said you can't wear lipstick to the beach? Damas's blotted pink lip teamed with zero eye makeup and damp, wavy hair gives a chic update to the usual boho beach vibe.
This is probably the most done-up we've ever seen Damas, but we're totally into it. A tiny touch of eyeliner, a seriously matte nude lip, and bouncy waves… Damas has '60s siren nailed.
To achieve this low-key but seriously chic look, keep layering red lipstick over itself with your finger. You'll end up with a blotted, powdery pout finish.
The half-up, half-down hair; neatly brushed-up brows; and everyday nude lipstick make this a winner for daytime beauty.
This hot-fuchsia lipstick is all kinds of chic.
Soft, sleek hair + an easy red lip + zero eye makeup = Damas's winning formula
What's in Jeanne Damas's Beauty Bag?
Damas told Who What Wear Beauty that Bioderma's Sensibio H2O Micellar Water was an essential step in her skincare routine: "I use it every morning and evening to take my makeup off. Even when I don't have makeup on, it takes away any dirt, any pollution."
During a video with Vogue, Damas skipped foundation and instead used Glossier's Stretch Concealer to cover any areas of darkness on her face.
It's no secret that Damas often skips mascara, but she never forgets to curl her lashes. This Shiseido Eyelash Curler is the best around.
During Damas's Vogue beauty video, she admits that she likes to leave the sparse areas in her brows, as filling them in with pencil can look too harsh. She does, however, brush them up with this clear brow gel from MAC.
"I put this on my lips every night before bed, and in the mornings before my lipstick to moisturize them," Damas revealed to theBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing Beauty team.
She's known for her lipstick, so it was no great surprise when Damas launched her own Rouje lipstick collection. This palette of four shades can be worn separately or mixed together—always applied with your finger to get that blotted, bitten-lip effect. Damas also likes to use the excess color on her cheeks as blush, too.
