I Founded a Clean Supplement Brand—Here's What I Do to Stay Healthy and Focused
What's the first thing you do when you get out of bed in the morning? A well-rounded morning routine sets the tone for the day and gets you prepped—both mentally and physically—before diving into a packed schedule filled with emails, chores, happy hours, workouts, and more. Our series Morning Person profiles those who have mastered the art of the morning routine. Tune in every Monday morning here and on our Instagram to learn exactly how the pros get it all done before the sun comes up, from their go-to breakfasts to their a.m. workouts.
At THE/THIRTY, we're big fans of The Nue Co., the supplement brand that blends clinically proven ingredients with Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to create products that are nontoxic and responsibly sourced. So we were excited to see how the brand's founder and CEO, Jules Miller, starts her day. Take a look at her routine below (and yes, she does consume her own products first thing in the morning).
6 a.m.
I wake up at 6 a.m and drink a cup of warm water with lemon and ginger, helping to stimulate detox. It's a great way to start the day after eight hours of sleep and feeling dehydrated.
6:10 a.m.
I'll either do 20 minutes of Headspace meditation to help clear my mind and process the day ahead or a 45-minute Peloton bike ride.
7 a.m.
I have a shower and use R+Co products in my hair. I love its paraben-free shampoos and conditioners. For my body, I use The Body Lotion from Nécessaire—a multivitamin lotion that leaves my skin feeling nourished.
For my skincare routine, this sounds like a lot of products, but I don't use much of each at all—a small pea-sized amount from each pressed onto my clean skin. I feel it's important to allow your skin to breathe and keep the amount used light to avoid clogging pores. Here are the products I use:
8 a.m.
I have my first cup of coffee in the morning (an oat milk cappuccino) with two capsules of The Nue Co.'s Nootro-Focus, a supplement designed to heighten mental clarity and sharpen your focus with both immediate and long-term results. I'm at my desk, also known as home, by 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m.
9 a.m.
After catching up with emails, I'm ready to dial in with the team for our 9 a.m. kickoff meeting, which we've held every day since working remotely. It's a great way to be able to say hi to the team and keep myself and everyone on a standard schedule. I usually have my daily dose of vitamins alongside my lunch. Right now, I'm using Skin Filter, Skin Hydrator, and Mood daily, alongside my Prebiotic + Probiotic.
