When it comes to fashion, if there's one thing we know about the Duchess of Cambridge, it's that she knows how to wear a dress well. The royal often wears designs by British designers, such as favourites Jenny Packham and Alexander McQueen, but she's never afraid to try out new designers or labels. It doesn't always have to come with a big price tag either, as she's often spotted in high-street creations. Her rule seems to be simple: If it looks chic and elegant, then it works.
Which is why we weren't surprised to see the Duchess of Cambridge wearing a design by Self-Portrait. The label has seen a huge rise in popularity of the past couple of years, much thanks to the Azalea dress that was seen everywhere, but also because of its accessible price point. This has made it possible to wear the exact same frock as some of your favourite A-listers, with the likes of Rachel McAdams, Kate Bosworth, and Lily Collins (plus many, many more) all wearing pieces from the designer.
But back to the outfit in question… Kate Middleton wore a white dress, which had a pleated skirt with a lace top, to the UK premiere of A Street Cat Named Bob.
