Katie Holmes Just Wore This Major 2023 Shoe Trend With Wide-Leg Trousers

If there's one celebrity we always look out for, it's Katie Holmes. Ever since that bra-and-cardigan moment back in 2019 that we're still coveting today, we've followed her style journey, and her two recent looks are seriously noteworthy.

Holmes has clearly figured out her signature style, that includes wide-leg trousers. Whether styling for the airport, an evening out or a simple off-duty look, more often than not wide-leg trousers are included. As someone who adores this style, I'm always intrigued by new styling ideas for this silhouette, which really took over last year. And as a true style setter, Katie Holmes paired her wide-leg trousers with one of the major trends of 2023: metallic shoes.

Metallics were one of the more unexpected trends seen on the spring 2023 runways, as they're often associated with the festivities of autumn and winter. But as we know, fashion is unpredictable, and so high-shine shoes have been put on the fashion map by brands such as Bottega Veneta and Marni for the upcoming season. The beauty of metallic shoes is the elevation they add to any look, and Holmes has shown they are also incredibly versatile by styling a silver pair for both day and night. The styling with wide-leg trousers ticks off two major trends.
