Paris's Coolest New Model Just Shared Her Mango Wish List With Us

Several years ago, Gucci cast four Parisians (among them, 16-year-old Annabelle Ferrera) in a campaign to show that French style is much more than the Breton stripe and-beret stereotype. Two years later, Ferrera's now fronting one of Mango's autumn campaigns—meaning she got an advance look at the new collection. In London, it's the square-toe white sandals and statement earrings that have people flocking to Mango, but what are the pieces that are really popular in France? Annabelle is keen to stress that Parisians are more experimental with their style than people often think.
"The biggest misconception about Parisian style is that there's a particular style," she says. "I think that the strength of Parisians is in their diversity; it would be impossible to apply an ultimate definition of a Parisian women and their style." That being said, there are certain staples in the collection that are more Paris than London. Keep scrolling to see and shop the three pieces Annabelle was most impressed by on set.
1. Mango's Office Trousers Aren't a Boring Staple
"The Mango pieces I wear the most in my wardrobe are the office trousers; they're very comfortable," Annabelle says. "When I get dressed, I like to be comfortable, but I always need a touch of bling. I think it’s more about keeping it simple and comfortable yet sophisticated."
2. The Two Parisian Staples Are...
Which pieces are destined to be a hit with the Parisian crowd? "I think that staple pieces like a good pair of great-fitting jeans—I prefer flared or boyfriends—and a classic coat are pieces that will be found in any woman's wardrobe, as they're incredibly versatile," she tells us.
