We know you all love to shop, but have you ever considered what is the most popular day to shop online? We thought it would be cool to find out, so we asked one of Australia’s largest online retailers, The Iconic, to reveal all of the data—and it all makes so much sense. Our shopping habits are quite predictable, and it’s clear we all like to shop with the weekend in mind.
When we asked The Iconic team what day has the most checkouts, we were told Thursdays are consistently the strongest day for orders in a non-sale period. On average, sales are up 11% on Thursdays than any other day of the week—people presumably shopping outfits in preparation for the weekend.
We would expect some people shop on Thursday to receive the product free overnight on Friday, then they can return them Friday afternoon if they don’t suit/fit, with free returns. You can even reorder something else for delivery on Saturday.
Does this match your shopping habits? For our team, we all nodded in agreement. We can’t count the amount of times we’ve had last-minute packages arrive on a Friday.
