I'm a Fashion Editor, and Here's What's on My NET-A-PORTER Wish List for Winter

You might call me crazy, but I take managing my NET-A-PORTER wish lists as seriously as if it were my job. By the way, did you know you could have multiple lists on the site? It's a game changer! I separate my most-wanted buys out into different seasons and events—like a holiday or partywear, for example—and I find this really helpful when considering which luxury pieces to actually invest in. I'll add items I love from the new-in sections (which I regularly check thanks to my actual job as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing UK editor), and refer back to the lists over the following weeks to make sure there aren't any impulse buys on there that I would have regretted.

I also find it really useful to see all my favourite items side by side, as it's often the case that certain pieces will jump out at me as being obviously the most versatile—items that I can totally imagine wearing with everything else on the list, for example. Not to mention the handy email updates I'll get if items on my wish lists become low in stock or get replenished. I've been working on building up my winter wish list for a while, especially since the new-season designer pieces tend to drop so early these days. And now that the weather is actually cold enough to wear these items, I'm revisiting it and figuring out which handful of buys I'll actually be adding to my wardrobe (and which I'll be putting on my Christmas list—*hint, hint*).

In case you're feeling nosy and wondering what a stylist and fashion editor is actually considering buying for winter 2023, I've added everything on my NET-A-PORTER winter wish list below for you to shop from (or add to your own lists). Personally, I have quite classic taste when it comes to luxury, and focus mainly on wearable buys that I can get my money's worth out of. So then it shouldn't come as a surprise that you'll find plenty of elevated basics like knitwear and jeans that I know I'll wear on repeat all season. There's also some seriously luxe coats (I'm a sucker for beautiful outerwear, because a great coat or jacket can make any high-street outfit look expensive and polished), along with some hints of both eveningwear and loungewear to cover me for the winter season's two extremes. And of course, there's a little treat or two in there for good measure.
