Rachel Lindsay's Favorite Way to Relax With a Bubble Bath and Bravo
This is Doing Well, a series where we'll get a peek into the wellness routines of our favorite celebrities, athletes, social media personalities, entrepreneurs, and more. Think of it as a Proust Questionnaire—wellness style. Below, see what they have to say about their favorite workouts, self-care rituals, wellness goals, affirmations or mottos, and more. Maybe you'll find some inspiration for your own routine.
You might know Rachel Lindsay from her time as a contestant on The Bachelor or as the star of The Bachelorette (where she met her now-husband Bryan Abasolo). And in the years since her debut on our television screens, she's been busy.
The attorney has truly made her mark on the entertainment industry, hosting and contributing to various shows (including MTV's Ghosted: Love Gone Missing and NBC's Access Live), writing a book (Miss Me With That), and using her platforms for good and to raise awareness for important issues. Currently, she's a correspondent for ExtraTV and hosts The Ringer's Higher Learning podcast with Van Lathan. And in addition to all of that, she's also an ambassador for Kim Crawford Wines.
So, yeah. Lindsay is Busy with a capital B. Luckily, she was able to answer our Doing Well questionnaire and shared her wellness routine and what she does to relieve stress and wind down. Take a look at what she had to say below.
The first thing I do when I wake up is: I take care of my dogs! Copper, Brownie, and I all wake up earlier than Bryan, so first things first, we go out for a morning walk.
My go-to meal before work is: I'm usually in a rush when I'm getting ready for work, so I have to grab something quick but delicious. I have coffee, water, turkey bacon, berries, or grapes and granola.
My favorite workout is: I am one to try any kind of workout once, but my favorite workout is a mix between yoga, so I can work out mentally and physically, and a Peloton workout to get my spirits and up—and my booty.
Something that always puts me in a good mood is: Spending a weekend at home with Bryan and the dogs always puts me in a good mood. We have a new house, and we love spending time developing our home and getting settled in. There is nothing better than having a day with no plans, turning on the music, firing up the grill, and laying out by the pool with a good book.
My favorite feel-good Instagram accounts to follow are: I love @justinasylvester. All around, it's the best content.
My must-have beauty/self-care products are: Benzoyl peroxide face wash (my favorite!), moisturizer (I love using Peter Thomas Roth), and last but certainly not least… sunscreen! I love Sunday Riley.
My favorite self-care ritual is: I love sitting down after a long day with all of my boys and a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc and meditating. If I can get out of the house, I love to spend time in the sauna.
The one thing I do to wind down is: The way I wind down is to wine down! I love to run a bubble bath, light a candle, put on some soothing music, and completely release. I usually put on one of my favorite Bravo shows to just laugh and completely escape with a glass (or two) of Kim Crawford Rosé.
My ideal chill-at-home 'fit is: My favorite thing to wear at home is a soft, plush robe. Wherever I move around in the house, I'm in a constant state of comfort and relaxation. I feel cocooned. I feel warm. And I feel like I'm tucking myself in for bed. The only thing missing is a bedtime story. After a wild day of work, who wouldn't want to feel this way?
My favorite thing about myself is: I love my confidence, and I love my ambition.
The one wellness goal I want to accomplish this year is: I want to focus on consistency in my routines and prioritizing my self-care with things that bring me joy, like sharing a glass of Kim Crawford wine with friends.
An affirmation/motto I live by is: Work Hard. Play Hard.
