The Under-$50 H&M Items I'm Buying to Look Like a Royal

Don't even try to deny it—you are just as weirdly obsessed with the royals as the rest of the world. The pristine mystery of their lives is something that will fascinate us common folk for years to come, including their wardrobes. While I know Mehgan Markle and Kate Middleton (or should I say Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex) are all anyone can talk about right now, there are a few other royals with incredible style whose style I'd like to emulate too.

Now, I'm not trying to fool anyone here—I love shopping on a budget. I'mBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing 's resident Zara Scout, for crying out loud! But I tend to dabble in the world of H&M for more classic pieces and, apparently, when I'm trying to copy all of my favorite royals' style. Ahead, shop the looks I'm buying at H&M (for under $50) to try looking as chic as royal family members from all over the globe. If they can do it, I can, right? Maybe my budget isn't as high, but my thrifty shopping skills are, if I do say so myself.

This Kate Middleton dress is actually from Zara, but since it's sold out now (naturally), the below options from H&M will do just the trick.

Kitty Spencer is one of my favorite royals to stalk, style-wise. This polka-dot number is one I knew I could easily re-create for less, and thanks to H&M, I was right.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex

Some might say Meghan has "basic" style, but that isn't always a bad thing. Meghan continuously makes a strong case for the classics, as proven by this striped button-down look. Lucky for us, most affordable retailers sell the basics, including H&M.

You can't go wrong with a floral midi dress, even if you aren't a princess. For staple wardrobe items like this, H&M always will have what you're looking for.

Shop the look:

Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark

I'm pretty sure the last time I saw a princess wear combat boots was in The Princess Diaries, so when I laid eyes on this cool-girl ensemble, I instantly itched to re-create it.

Shop the look:

Viscountess Emma Weymouth

A bra top and printed skirt? Now that's a fresh look I'd love to wear to a party. Sadly, H&M didn't have a matching set available, but I did find this adorable skirt and crop top that will tide me over in the meantime.

Shop the look:

Ladies Alice and Violet Manners

Brightly colored knits and tea dresses have honestly never looked so cool. I'm pretty sure if I were a "lady," I'd copy these girls' outfits in two seconds flat.
