I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a sucker for a sale. It doesn’t even have to be a good one. As long as it features an abundance of dark-red font and crossed out numbers, I’ll drop everything to at least window shop the selection. That’s how I ended up logging onto Saks’s website this week with no expectations but a willingness to look through every last marked-down product from the retailer's Friends and Family sale, going on now through Monday, March 27. First, I tackled the selection as a whole, leading to genuine alarm when my intention of just looking went out the window and reality set it: This sale is really, really good.

After looking through over 25,000 products, I decided to narrow things down to give my bank balance a slight chance of survival. Little did I know that by focusing only on shoes, I was striking gold. From metallic heels and suede knee-high boots to shearling slides and toe-loop sandals, the shoe offering showcased below is a treasure trove for footwear enthusiasts, especially ones with a penchant for sales. Scroll down to see for yourself.
