Tia Mowry-Hardrict found career success—and fame—at an incredibly young age when she and her sister, Tamara, became known as the iconic twin duo in the hit ’90s sitcom Sister, Sister. Since then, she’s made the graceful shift from child star to adult actress, but achieving such longevity in an industry where job security is notoriously fleeting wasn’t an easy task. "I always found myself trying to convince casting directors, producers, directors that I'm not this child anymore. I am a young adult. I've gone through life experiences, and I'm capable,” Mowry-Hardrict remembers in Wholesale Replica Bag episode of Second Life.
Eventually, that persistence paid off, as she went on to star in countless other projects, everything from movies like Twitches to series such as The Game to her beloved YouTube channel, Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix. But most recently, that same skill set of resilience and perseverance has proven valuable in a new arena altogether: as an entrepreneur.
Mowry-Hardrict’s latest role is the founder of Anser, a supplement line inspired by her own wellness journey. "I've been very open about suffering from something called endometriosis, which is a highly inflammatory condition that can cause infertility,” she explains. After two surgeries to manage the condition, Mowry-Hardrict began to reexamine her lifestyle in a holistic light. "I changed my diet, I started to work out, I started to meditate, and I started to take supplements. I saw a huge shift,” she remembers. With a decade spent focusing on health and wellness under her belt, and a noticeable need for more representation within the space, Mowry-Hardrict was inspired to create her own line of high-quality and affordable supplements aimed at making wellness attainable for everyone.
After the success of Anser’s debut supplements last February, Mowry-Hardrict has plans to expand into a full lifestyle assortment—a big undertaking for such a new company and one Mowry-Hardrict is ready to tackle head-on. "When you come out with a product, the first person that's going to believe in your product is you, and if you don't believe in that product, then no one else will,” she says. "You have got to stay true to who you are, stay true to what you believe in, and be steadfast. And, you know, being an actress has taught me how to do that.”
