I Just Started Playing Tennis Again—Here Are All the Workout Pieces I'm Eyeing
I grew up playing tennis but haven’t hit the courts much in the last several years. That is, until recently. I just started taking lessons again, and it feels so great to be back on the court and slipping into tennis gear again. Sartorially, the timing couldn’t be better, because tennis clothing is having a moment in the fashion space, and there are so many cool pieces that tap into traditional sportswear in reimagined ways.
Heritage brands like Lacoste and Reebok have mastered tennis gear that has remained iconic over the years, while newer brands including Sporty Rich and Nylora have just dropped collections that fashion insiders are snapping up right now. As I’m starting to build out an updated tennis wardrobe, I’ve been on the hunt for some new pieces to add to my closet. Ahead, take a look at the tennis items sitting in my cart.
Wear this as a top for tennis. Then throw a blazer over it after for a full look.
I can't get over the Lacoste alligator on these socks.
If you want to go the designer route, look no further than Gucci's tennis pieces.
Lacoste has been designing cool tennis pieces for nearly a century.
Layer this sweater with your outfit for a post-tennis look.
I grew up wearing K-Swiss sneakers on the tennis courts, and they're just as cool now.
If you want to skip traditional white sneakers, this pair is a great alternative.
