I'm in My 60s, and These Are the 4 Items I'm Living in This Fall

Feldman is also our resident style expert here atBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing , and she's shared everything from the basics she packs for every trip to the style mistakes she won't repeat. Today, we've tapped her to discuss the fall staples—three items she's wearing on repeat, to be specific.
I don't know about you, but you will not find me wearing any heels or dresses this fall. Even though things are opening up, I'm still very much in casual mode—or casual with a twist, as I like to call it. What I mean by casual with a twist is that right now my fall style hinges on pieces that are at that halfway point between loungewear and regular wear. I've gotten out of my sweats and am currently looking for a way to up my outfit game while still staying comfy and cozy.
I have a feeling there are others out there who might be looking to dress "casual with a twist" like I am this fall, so to inspire you, I'm sharing a few of the key staples that I'm living in at the moment. The great thing about each is that they mix flawlessly with my wardrobe basics and happen to look good styled together as well. So without further ado, here are the four things that fit the bill.
1. Shackets
First on my list is a shacket. Yes, a shacket. In case you missed the memo, it's a cross between a shirt and a jacket. It's great for cool nights, and I'm loving it right now. It's roomy enough that, when it gets colder, I'll be layering a great chunky sweater under it. Also, when I want something a little more polished, I can belt it. It works with jeans, leggings, and even sweats.

2. Bootcut Jeans
Next on my list are vintage-wash bootcut jeans. I've always found that a bootcut is super flattering. They do that thing of really elongating your leg, and after six months of quarantine, a little elongating goes a long way. There's nothing wrong with a little stretch, but I love a stiffer, vintage-y denim. You can wear any shoes with them, whether you're into sneakers, loafers, boots, or bare feet.

3. Chunky Loafers
I have been living in my Birkenstocks. I'm not giving them up anytime soon since I bought a sherpa-lined pair for the fall, but I am adding a pair of chunky loafers to the rotation. There are tons of great ones online. After seeing them in a bunch of fashion editorials, I realized I have a vintage Gucci pair with the Vibram soles! I'm so happy I kept them. They're very chic and very comfy.

4. Red Lipstick
Last but not least, a great red lipstick. I splurged and bought a Westman Atelier Lip Suede ($85). It has four different vibrant shades of red and berry that you can wear alone or mix together. Usually, I just wear a little pink lip gloss, so this has really changed my routine up. I've found these richly saturated colors give me a whole new look. The best part is that I don't need a lot of other makeup. The lip color does all the heavy lifting."
