We've Just Launched a Skincare Brand, and Everything Is Under £20

There's nothing I love more than the launch of a shiny new beauty brand. From learning about the company's ethos to trying the products themselves, there's something about discovering new formulas and ingredient combinations that indulges my inner beauty nerd. So when I first heard that theBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing team in the U.S. were busy working on a new sister brand—and a skincare brand at that—it was like all my beauty editor dreams had come at once.
Created to combat the fact that about 61% of the skincare products that we purchase go mainly unused, Versed is a clean, results-driven skincare line of 19 skincare basics that all come in at under £20. And trust me—these products are seriously good.
So what sets Versed apart from other skincare brands on the market? First up, everything is clean, vegan, cruelty-free and free from added colours, fragrances and nasties like sulphates, parabens, silicones and more. Secondly, it's affordable—and, despite every product coming in at under £20, all of the formulas genuinely work. Thirdly, every ingredient used is included at a level that will actually make a difference to your skin. Finally, Versed is focused in ethical practices so you can feel good inside about using them—and your skin will look great on the outside.
If you're not sure where to start with your skincare routine, then Versed has put together a handy skin decoder. Just answer a few quick questions about yourself and you'll be recommended the products that will work best for you. It couldn't be easier.

Cleansers
It was love at first wash for me and this soap-free gel cleanser. The refreshing formulation makes an ideal morning cleanse. It's infused with calming rosewater and rejuvenating mint (so it smells incredible) and also contains lactic acid to gently slough away dead skin cells for instantly brighter-looking skin.
The perfect evening cleanser, this oil-based balm makes light work of melting away makeup and impurities. Infused with vitamin E, eucalyptus and jojoba oils, it's nourishing enough for drier skin types but doesn't leave behind any unwanted residue, so it's perfect for oilier complexions too. Oh, and it smells exactly like a fancy spa.
Serums and Treatments
This vitamin C based serum was created for anyone looking to combat dull or tired-looking skin. Alongside the star ingredient, it contains brightening liquorice root, niacinamide to even to combat discolouration and palmaria palmata extract to reduce pigmentation and scarring. Your skin will be left more even in tone and more luminous in appearance.
Of all the serums, this is the one that has my name on. If your skin is freaking out, or dealing with breakouts and blemishes are par for the course with you, then this blend of willow bark extract, zinc and niacinamide will calm inflammation, decongest pores and generally bring skin back into balance.
If you're not already using hyaluronic acid in your routine, then now is a great time to start. Mix a few drops of this booster in with your serums or moisturisers to quench skin's thirst, boost hydration levels and improve your skin's ability to retain moisture over time.

Moisturisers
A great option for those that don't like heavy cream moisturisers—and a particularly fab formula for combination skin types—this jelly-textured moisturiser is wonderfully lightweight. Hydrating aloe leaf juice and antioxidant-boosting green tea soothe and refresh the skin and sink in quickly without leaving behind any greasy residue.
Masks and Peels
My favourite mask of the bunch has to be this detoxifying formula created for blemish-prone skin. It uses not one, but two types of clay as well as deep cleaning charcoal to unclog pores and remove impurities. Skin is left balanced, refreshed and calm without feeling stripped of moisture.
If like me, you often skip face masks because you simply can't be bothered to add an extra step to your routine, then this overnight treatment will be right up your street. It's brimming with exfoliating lactic and glycolic acids as well as skin-smoothing and brightening vitamins A and E to renew your skin while you snooze.

Eye and Lip
I'm not the biggest fan of eye creams, which is why I was so excited to see this gel formulation in the mix. It's ultra-refreshing (great for de-puffing) and tackles dark circles with a brightening blend of coffee seed extract, vitamin C and ginseng root extract. Bonus: It's fast-absorbing and sits beautifully beneath makeup.
Body
If you normally skip body moisturiser because you hate hanging around to get dressed afterwards, then give this oil a try. It sinks instantly into skin, smells amazing (that will be the ylang-ylang oil) and sprays on for fuss-free application. Trust me—your skin will feel so, so soft after using this.
Next up, I spent a whole week doing VB’s skincare routine—here’s what I thought.
