I Just Tried the New Victoria Beckham Mascara—These Are My Honest Thoughts

I've made no secret of the fact that I'm a bit of a Victoria Beckham fangirl. From her iconic Posh Spice beauty looks in the '90s to the launch of her very own beauty brand, VB is a beauty muse who has, undoubtedly, stood the test of time. So when an email landed in my inbox earlier this week asking if I'd like to try Wholesale Replica Bag Victoria Beckham Beauty innovation before it launched, I jumped at the chance. Her newest creation? A long-awaited mascara.
That's right. The queen of smoky eyes herself has finally turned her attention to lashes. Hooray! But what sets VB's mascara apart from the rest of the pack? Keep reading for the full low-down and my honest first impression.
The product 101:
VB's new mascara promises three key things: lifted lashes that won't smudge, water-activated removal so you don't need to faff around with makeup remover, and haircare benefits to improve the health of your lashes. It all sounds pretty impressive, but before we get into the science, does it look good on?
Before: sleepy morning eyes.
After: Hello, lashes—I knew you were there somewhere.
I'll be totally honest. I am rarely enraptured by a mascara. My natural lashes are very short and curly (you'll notice that you can barely spot them in the before photos), so whenever I do apply mascara, it usually ends up all over my eyelids. Thankfully, VB has bucked the trend of supersized mascara wands and has opted for a small, slightly curved wand, which makes for easy, fuss-free application with no mascara smudges in sight. Win.
The formula itself is jet-black, and while it's not touted as a lengthening mascara, I found that it genuinely did a brilliant job of elongating my lashes as well as lifting them. I love the natural, fluttery effect that it creates and reckon this just might be my new everyday mascara of choice. Oh, and let's spare a moment to talk about the packaging—this is one chic mascara. Of course, all of Victoria Beckham Beauty's makeup is elegantly packaged, and this latest launch is no exception. This mascara feels luxuriously heavy, and the glossy black tube is beautifully understated.
As for the haircare benefits? According to the Victoria Beckham Beauty team, Future Lash's plant-based C2 Complex (a blend of shea butter, niacinamide and other protein-rich goodies) gives you stronger, healthier lashes immediately and with continued use. In fact, 90% of people agreed that their lashes felt softer after using this mascara. It's too soon for me to comment on that—I'll get back to you—but I can confirm that the mascara easily rinsed away using just warm water and without the slightest hint of irritation.
Overall, this is a great everyday mascara. If you like naturally defined, lifted eyelashes like I do, then it will be right up your street—think fluttery rather than a fake-lash effect. I give it bonus points for the fact that Beckham has managed to deliver all of this using a clean, plant-based formulation that actually does some good for your lashes in the long-term, too.
Now that you know what my thoughts are, it's time we heard from Beckham herself on why she wanted to turn her attention to mascara.
"I was tired of my mascara being unable to keep up—always smudging, flaking, or harming lashes," Beckham explains. "The perfect mascara is something I’ve had in my head since day one, and to create my own, I wanted to reimagine what I needed from the ground up."
"We nailed it with Future Lash," Beckham says. "A clean formula with plant-based polymers for ultra-black, fluttery lashes and unlike anything I’ve tried. It’s an instant essential; it’s that good."
