Fashion month has drawn to a close and it's been nothing short of excellence—from the fashion-forward silhouettes of Scandinavian brands showcased at Copenhagen Fashion Week, to the exuberance of the Paris Fashion Week runways. Including a Disneyland Paris runway, no less. I was lucky enough to experience some outstanding pieces in the flesh and now, I’ve come back down to earth and drawn my attention to the slew of A/W that’s been landing on e-commerce thick and fast and my goodness have the offerings been sweet.
While I’ve been squeezing the last drops out of summer, there's no denying the presence of autumn and at its first glimpse, I turned my attention to the conviviality of Christmas on the horizon (I may have a slight penchant for the festivities) and how I can make my wardrobe more weather-appropriate. Typically my colour palette deepens and becomes awash with richer tones but this year, I've thrown some wildcards into the mix. I also turn my attention to the power of outerwear, layering pieces and jewels aplenty (my motto - pile them high). Fear not, fellow lovers of dresses, short sleeves can be swapped for their lengthier counterparts and we'll soon have party dress season to consider. The cusp of seasons is a playful time for fashion and there's much fun to be had. Keep reading to see more examples of wardrobe recycling, plus, the styles I’m most drawn to this October.

1. Elevated Tops
Pair this with everything from tailored trousers to a pleated skirt (examples below).
A re-invented white shirt with added dramatic flair owing to the raglan sleeves.
2. Directional Knitwear
The rich mossy colourway with the raised mohair fabrication is an excellent design pairing.
The scarf trend continues to flourish and this autumn has seen the introduction of scarved knitwear (which is even more luxurious in cashmere).
3. Textured Skirts
Every season I challenge myself to wear varied silhouettes. My favourite way to style minis is with slouched knitwear or this season's elevated draped top.
I have a feeling Editor in Chief Hannah Almassi will adore this style, too.
4. Autumn-Ready Dresses
A style you're bound to rely on year after year.
Coined the leading lady drop, Franks's vintage-style iterations are perfectly timed for the festive season ahead.
5. Classic Handbags
This taught quality leather is coated in the glossiest burgundy. The polished gold accent elevates this handbag even further.
Kassandre Paris is the new kid on the block but not for much longer, mark my words.
6. Timeless Outerwear
The elongated hem, delicate leather trim and generously proportioned scarf make this COS number one of my favourite coats of the season.
This season, suede coats are immensely popular and whilst many styles are awash with a tawny brown, Rosaé Paris' chesnut iteration is akin to the famed brown suede handbags doing the rounds.
