I'm a Fashion Editor—6 Easy Yet Impressive Outfits I'll Rely On This Winter
As a fashion editor, part of my job is to look through Instagram for outfit inspiration, and when I stumble across an amazing look, I think it's only fair that I share my findings with you lovely lot. This week, I was in search of chic outfits that not only are incredibly easy to put together (something we can all agree is important, right?) but also that’ll work in the chilly 10-degree weather that is heading our way. That's because here atBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing , we like to plan ahead.
We’ve already found the outfit formulas for 20-degree and ideas for 15-degree weather, so naturally as the year goes on, there comes a time when we start thinking about the inevitable wardrobe crisis that will hit as soon as the temperature plummets further. But trust me when I say that you’ll actually start looking forward to dressing for those chilly days when you see these combos.
Whether it’s a cult striped knit with a cosy wool coat and knee-high boots or you’re going to take the easy route with a throw-on-and-go knitted dress with chunky boots, keep scrolling to see the six outfits that are so simple to put together but also incredibly chic. The best part? You most likely already own and love some of the pieces.
Scroll down to discover more and shop all the pieces you might need to re-create the looks.
1. Striped Jumper + Wool Coat + Knee-High Boots
Style Notes: The only thing you may want to add to this classic ensemble is tights. Aside from that, you can never fail with a chunky roll-neck knit, a wool coat and flat knee-high boots worn with shorts.
Shop the look:
Tôteme's cult striped knits are worth the investment.
Amaka Hamelijnck has added shorts to her look, but you could also opt for a black miniskirt. Add tights for extra warmth.
2. Longline Coat + Knit + Tailored Trousers
Style Notes: The best part about a statement coat is that you barely have to even think about what’s underneath. Opt for an oversized fit, too, so you can hide multiple cosy layers under it.
Shop the look:
Monikh Dale's actual coat from Rixo looks like it could be a vintage find.
A wool-and-cashmere mix will be so cosy.
3. Long-Sleeve Top + Leather Skirt + Tall Boots
Style Notes: If you’re on the go, there’s nothing worse than being swamped in heavy layers (even if it is cold). Instead, opt for thicker fabrics such as leather and layer separates until you feel warm but not too stuffy.
Shop the look:
A slouchy denim jacket is ideal over layers or even under another coat.
4. Knit Co-Ord + Chunky Boots
Style Notes: Co-ords work for any season. Now it’s chillier, ditch linen in favour of smart knitted versions. And you can always hide a Heattech vest underneath. Add a thick wool coat, and you're ready to go!
Shop the look:
This shade looks so good with tan, beige and cream. Wear it with leather trousers and denim, too.
Joseph always has some of the best knitted pieces around. You could pair this skirt with the matching top or add a T-shirt and chunky cardigan.
Sleek sunglasses are an all-year-round addition to your outfits.
5. Quilted Coat + Balaclava
Style Notes: Just because winter is on the horizon doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with your looks. Make like Zeena Shah, and wear a playful printed puffer with a balaclava for when it's 10ºC, but feels like 2º.
Shop the look:
Like so many other of our favourite fashion influencers, Shah wears a quilted coat from Sea. The Nohr is the brand's latest launch.
Western boots are a wise investment right now, and Khaite's are loved amongst celebs.
6. Knit Dress + Thick Tread Boots
Style Notes: When it comes to one-piece wonders, you can't go wrong with a knitted dress, a hero in anyone’s wardrobe. Keep it classic like Isabelle Cohen did, or layer a bold blazer over the top.
