When I wrote Who What Wear's spring summer 2021 trend report, there was one item that I knew was a look I would try whatever 2021 has in store for us—second-skin tops. These tight, body-skimming rollnecks went viral in 2020 when Adele and Beyonce both wore Marine Serre's cult moon-print fitted tops and they were also seen at the likes of Miu Miu and Jil Sander.

They are surprisingly versatile to style, as you can wear them with high or low waistbands, simply tucked into jeans or layered underneath dresses or chunkier knits. And I'm here for any extra base layers I can get for a winter spent outside. Always ahead of new trending items, you'll find plenty of second-skin tops in Who What Wear Collection's latest drop at Zalando. There's tie-dye, animal print and moody floral versions, however the one top I've been wearing the most is a black fitted turtleneck with a subtle metallic chevron pattern. It's an upgrade on my usual black rollnecks, but is still simple enough to work as a layering piece too.
