We tend to think that because winter dressing often involves more clothes that we need to get elaborate when it comes to re-upping our cold-weather wardrobes. While, of course, it goes without saying that every season there will always be a coat that everyone's wearing or a trending sweater, in our opinion, the secret to winter dressing actually relies on simplicity. If you play your cards right, investing in a few key pieces now will have a major payoff later, as the goal is to be able to wear these items for many winters to come.
If you haven't caught my drift just yet, I'm alluding to winter basics. You know, those items that go with just about everything but are still stylish enough to get noticed. When looking for a good basic, you're going to want to stay with a mostly neutral color palette and look for classic silhouettes that won't easily fall out of favor.
