Everything You Need to Know About Shopping Zara Australia's New Site
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard the news by now: Zara has launched their online store today. Of course, being the Zara obsessives we are, we couldn’t help but immediately go on a virtual bender, adding to cart anything that seemed to have potential. Only after our fair share of impulse buys, we began to wonder… if some of the pieces don’t work, how exactly do we go about returning them?
While Zara has a fair return policy, we weren’t sure about what it would look like when it comes to online shopping. After all being able to shop Zara anywhere, anytime is a new concept for us. Thankfully, we’ve got all the information you could possibly need to know from Zara’s online buying guide. Keep reading to learn all about shipping, returns, and other general questions you might have when shopping the new site.
Placing an order
You’ll receive a confirmation email after making an online purchase. If you don't, contact Zara’s customer service. Hint: Make sure to check your spam box first. You can cancel an order as long as the shipping status will allow. This can be done in the “Orders and Returns” section of your account (which you’ll create upon making a purchase).
If the item isn’t what you expected
If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, contact Zara’s customer service immediately, and they’ll help you sort out the problem.
Shipping Time
The amount of time it will take your order to arrive varies based on the delivery option you’ve selected. If you choose to pick up in store, it will be ready in one to four working days. Zara offers next day shipping to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra and Brisbane. Additionally, Sydney girls can get their order on the same day, if it’s placed before 2 p.m.
Delivery Costs
Like shipping time, delivery costs vary based on which option you choose. In-store pickup is free while next-day shipping costs $7.95 (but it’s free if you spend over $75). Same-day shipping for Sydneysiders is $12.95, which seems like a reasonable price to pay when you’re in the midst of an outfit emergency.
Returns
Any unworn item can be returned within 30 days either online or in-store. Returning in a Zara store is as simple as bringing the item in, along with a receipt and payment method. Online returns require you to request an exchange or return online, after which you drop the product an an Australia Post office.
Make sure to keep the labels on any item you want to return, and keep in mind that items like swimwear or underwear require hygiene stickers and original packaging to be in tact.
One exception: Accessories can’t be exchanged or returned, so make sure you love them before purchasing. Depending on your bank, it will take 10-14 working days for the refund to go through on the original method of payment.
