True to Form, Zara Is All Over 2023's Biggest Flat-Shoe Trend
I'll be the first to admit that my favourite shoe trends have a flat sole. As exciting as teetering on sky-high stilettos or bold platform boots can be, you'll most likely find me in flat boots or trainers for their clear comfort factor. That doesn't take away from their stylish nature, but they aren't the most elegant when dressing up. Thankfully, the trending shoes of 2023 hit all the chic notes needed to add a polished finish to any look—enter ballet flats.
As always, reliable Zara has already caught on to this trending footwear. The humble ballet flat boasts a chic silhouette and flat sole and hints to French-girl style, making them that much more irresistible. The styling options vary from baggy jeans and leggings to floaty dresses or slick tailoring. All in all, it's no surprise that the ballet flat has returned to style prominence.

Add interest to a simple jeans and t-shirt look with these ruffle-detail ballet flats.
I'd wear these with blue denim and a relaxed-fit white shirt, or with black jeans and blazer.
Zara also has a great selection of slingbacks, too. This silver pair will dress up a look in no time.
