Here Are 5 Expensive-Looking Winter Outfits You Won't Believe Are from Zara

Florrie Alexander
Thanks to the Great British weather, there are only a couple of months out of the year that we’re not hastily wrapping ourselves up in cosy layers and shielding from the rain. After a particularly brief summer and bright but crisp autumn, we're ready to resume business as usual and get back into sensible winter dressing. Naturally, whilst I was scrolling through Zara's new-in section (one of my favourite pastimes), I immediately started thinking about winter outfit building.
Aside from the premium partywear and particularly good accessories (more on those later), Zara is currently full of perfect knits, designer-looking tailoring and thick winter coats—everything you could possibly need for a very stylish season. And, as it turns out, you don't need to spend four figures to look like you did, as this high-street hero has replicated some of our favourite runway pieces at affordable price points, and it took all of my strength not to overload my basket with piles of the site's hidden treasures.
As Zara pieces tend to sell out in no time, I've put together five completely different but equally expensive-looking outfits that you can start wearing now. From easy, office-appropriate looks to chic weekend loungewear, keep scrolling to see five Zara winter outfits well worth adding to your roster.
1. WOOL COAT + WIDE-LEG TROUSERS + LOAFERS
Style Notes: Make a simple cardigan feel office-ready by styling it with sharp, well-tailored pieces like Zara's wide-leg trousers—a certifiedBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing UK favourite. To bring the look up to date, reach for a coat in a trending shade, like this deep green hue. Finally, keep accessories classic from timeless loafers to a sleek black bag to keep the elevated feel.
SHOP THE OUTFIT:
Bowling bag silhouettes are big right now, and this one looks well beyond its price tag.
2. LIGHT COAT + STATEMENT KNIT + LEOPARD SHOES
Style Notes: Looking for an easy weekend look that feels polished? Start with classic jeans and work from there. A scarf knit will not only be cosy but bring a fashion-forward edge, and a slouchy bag will keep up with the relaxed feel. Complete with a light cream coat to elevate the look, with a punch of print to take the look from laidback to luxury in just one step.
SHOP THE OUTFIT:
Brown suede is my current vice, it just looks so premium.
3. STATEMENT COAT + MINISKIRT + FLAT KNEE-HIGH BOOTS
Style Notes: Last summer's biggest trend (the miniskirt) is only building on its popularity into winter, and yes, before you ask, you can make it cold-weather ready—style it with knee-high boots and a long coat so there isn't too much skin on show. Tights are also about to come into their own over the next few months, so keep an eye out for thick, woollen styles and sheer pairs with intricate patterns.
SHOP THE OUTFIT:
When it comes to bold shades, look to classic designs to ensure they're easy to style.
4. WRAP COAT + SILKY DRESS + MULES
Style Notes: If you're not sure what to wear this festive party season before you reach for another LBD, allow me to suggest a satin dress. The deep burgundy shade adds a point of difference to classic black offerings, and it just requires a simple coat and a few accessories to feel highly elegant.

5. TEXTURED COAT + CABLEKNIT + KNITTED TROUSERS
Style Notes: This luxe loungewear look is comfort to a T. There's no need for tight jeans, fussy dresses or contending with all the bells and whistles when a stripped-back outfit looks this good, especially on the days you have five minutes to throw something together. Wear at home with socks, out for errands with the coat and swap in boots to wear to the office.

Not only do these look seriously chic, but they're incredibly cosy and comfortable too.
