It might be considered a bit of a faux pas to wear the same item as the person next to you, however, at fashion week, there are certain cult buys that everyone is so excited buy that they happily pose for pictures in the same thing. This summer, there is one pair of sandals in particular that every buyer, influencer and editor is wearing: Bottega Veneta's square-toe strappy sandals. We kept seeing these angular stilettos again and again in the street style pictures from Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
The sandals come in white, bright electric blue and black, however, the availability of sizes is quickly dwindling. Bottega Veneta never used to be the type of brand you'd see in street style pictures, but it has had a complete overhaul by creative director Daniel Lee, who joined the brand in July 2018. In just 12 months, he has turned this Italian classic brand into the name every fashion buyer is talking about, and it is certainly translating into sales. It is almost impossible to now track down a pouch bag or a pair of the square-toe mules.
