People Ask "Where Did You Get That?" When I Wear These 23 Epic Finds

Shop Like an Editor is aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing column where our senior editor Kristen Nichols shares her latest fashion finds.

As I mentioned in a previous story, I have a specific take on style that blends my penchant for minimalism on some days and maximalism on others. Nothing could be closer to the truth right now, with the added note that some days I’m dressing up and others I’m wearing whatever feels comfortable. I love both style mindsets equally—it really depends on the mood I’m in. Some days there is simply nothing I’d rather wear than a full sweatsuit look. But the next day, I’ll be inspired to get dressed up and try out some of the biggest trends of the season. I guess it’s all about balance.

Ahead, I’m sharing some of the fashion pieces I’ve been wearing for our L.A. winter. The one common theme? People ask "Where did you get that?” every time I wear these items, whether it’s on a trip to the grocery store or a message that pops into my DMs. Here, shop my favorite finds of the season.

'90s-inspired fashion is one of my biggest points of inspiration, so it should come as no surprise that oversized faux leather blazers are one of my core wardrobe staples right now. Add a pair of classic straight-leg jeans and it's the ultimate throwback look.

I also styled the leather blazer look above with a pair of chunky loafers—one of the runaway trends that has been everywhere this fall. This affordable pair is too good to pass up.

Yep, I mentioned I was living sweatpant looks. Most days, this is what you'll find me wearing. I love the idea of adding an oversize blazer to make something like sweatpants feel a bit more pulled together.

Neutrals are at the core of my wardrobe because they're so versatile, so I've been stocking my wardrobe with shades like white and grey that work with almost anything else in my closet.

My jumpsuit obsession is well-documented at this point. In particular, I'm gravitating towards the utility-style silhouettes we're seeing everywhere right now that have a looser fit than the ones we've seen in past seasons. To offset the utilitarian piece, I love the addition of a polished bag.

There's no doubt about it, I've been living in sweatsuit looks this year. As we're moving into winter I've been wearing heavyweight versions like this one from Pangaia, a personal favorite brand that uses pre-consumer recycled materials. So, not only do I love the fit and feel, but also the sustainable mindset of the brand. To dress them up, I added my go-to earrings and one of my favorite pairs of sunglasses.

Ripped jeans are the denim trend I can't get enough of right now. Yes, another big '90s throwback happening in my wardrobe. Here, I paired the jeans with a tweed jacket, a waist chain, and one of my favorite necklaces. This is definitely a look I would wear on repeat.

There is nothing I love more than a great tailored suit. This year, I've been leaning into silhouettes that are slightly more relaxed than what we've been seeing in past seasons.
