Gucci Really Wants You to Try This Unexpected Accessory

If there's any brand that could inspire fashion girls to test out trends they wouldn't normally wear, it's probably Gucci. We get excited every time the brand launches a new campaign. Our heart skips a beat when style stars like Elle Fanning have memorable Gucci moments on the red carpet. The brand's It factor has been cemented by scores of celebrities, bloggers, and industry professionals, so it wouldn't be a stretch to say that the brand will kick off the next big (unexpected) trend: berets.

Combing through Net-a-Porter, we couldn't help but notice that there are no less than eight Gucci berets available. From black-and-white stripes to leather iterations to wool versions, there's a beret for pretty much every outfit you could think of. But will it become the next must-have accessory? Only time will tell!

Scroll down to see how Gucci styles berets, and shop them for yourself!

Associate Director, Fashion News

Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 13 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
