Holly Willoughby Just Wore This 50-Year-Old Royal Outfit Formula

This week, Holly Willoughby wore an H&M midi skirt and camel cashmere jumper that looked very familiar. Her tartan ensemble is an outfit the Duchess of Cambridge wore two months ago on an official visit with Prince William. Ever since Kate wore her cardi and kilt, we've been seeing this outfit all over our Instagram feeds. In fact, a number of influencers and industry insiders have been wearing one specific midi checked pleated skirt from Zara with tan knitwear.

Holly's skirt might look exactly like this midi, but it's actually a (predictably now-sold-out) version from H&M. This outfit might be proving popular this winter, but it is, in fact, a very traditional royal ensemble that the queen has been wearing for decades. Calf-length kilts and buttoned-up cardigans have been as crucial to her country look as corgis and silk scarves. Keep scrolling to see and shop this royal-approved look.
