I recently got one of the new J.Crew Rollneck sweaters—a revamp of its 1988 version—and it's very quickly become my new favorite. When I first unboxed it at the office, senior fashion editor Eliza Huber mentioned she'd just gotten the Ivory color and had been wearing it nonstop. I didn't think much of it at the time, but now I fully understand why.

I'm currently on my third day in a row wearing it (I have it on as I write this), and I'm already considering buying another color. If you want to look put together without trying too hard, it's the perfect sweater.

On Sunday morning, I threw it on to spend a few hours popping around my neighborhood—getting coffee, going to breakfast, walking around. The weather in New York has been in that sweet spot lately: still relatively warm for October but with just enough chill in the air to justify a sweater.
