Dua Lipa Broke All the Wedding Guest Fashion Rules With Her Sheer White Dress
Normally, I say to hell with fashion "rules," but a wedding is certainly one place where I'll happily abide by tradition as a guest—after all, it's not my day to shine. The unspoken guidelines include not wearing white and not upstaging the couple, and they're easy enough to follow for one evening.
That said, when the groom specifically asks you to wear white and dresses you in his own designs, that's a whole different story. This was clearly the case at the wedding of designer Simon Porte Jacquemus and Marco Maestri in Charleval, France. Nearly all of the attendees wore white to the celebrity-packed event, and the lucky ones, including Dua Lipa, were dressed by Jacquemus himself. Her completely sheer, underwear-exposing dress transformed in my mind from a rule breaker to the perfect French fashion moment. Scroll down to see all the best photos from Jacquemus's wedding in France.
Dua Lipa attended the ceremony wearing Jacquemus from head to toe.
This dress deserves to be seen from all angles.
I'm simply obsessed with this look.
Jeanne Damas went for an understated outfit for the event.
Damso and Didi Stone posed for photos at the wedding.
Simon Porte Jacquemus looked incredibly sweet with his mother on his wedding day.
Victor Santiago and Tina Kunakey looked so chic at the French affair.
Miniskirts aren't typical wedding guest fare, but model Mica Argañaraz pulled it off flawlessly.

This is exactly what we'd wear if our invite hadn't got lost in the mail...
The elongate take on the iconic Le Chiquito bag adds a 90's feel that's very now.
I plan to finish every look from now on with these sleek white mules.
