Move Over Ballet Flats—Fashion People Are Relying On These Classy Boots to Elevate All Their Winter Outfits

There's no doubt about it, we're embracing autumn in a big way. We're already filling our wardrobes with pieces that'll see us through the next few months in style. Knitwear has been released from the vacuum bags, coats have been bookmarked, and we've been spending all of our free time researching key boot trends ahead of the inevitable cold snap. It seems, however, that we're not the only ones getting prepared for autumn, as every fashion insider I've spotted recently have been wearing boots from this cult-status brand.

If you're an avid Who What Wear UK reader, you'll likely have already heard of Paris Texas. This footwear brand creates beautiful knee-high boots which instantly became a hit with an A-List crowd, and have have already been worn by the likes of Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski.

So, what's Paris Texas' backstory? The Italian label was founded in 2015 by sisters Annamaria and Margherita Brivio. Despite its name (the two cities were chosen to convey "the idea of contrasts," Paris being "sophisticated in style" and Texas having a "fun attitude"), the founders insist that every single component that makes up the label's shoes— from the soles to the buckles to the packaging— is sourced in Italy.

Paris Texas might headline in knee-high boots in a snake effect, but the brand's backless mules are proving equally popular with the street style set. "We really like eccentric details, like the diamanté on our mules. They make the simplest outfits look glamorous," say Annamaria and Margherita. "Our shoes and boots can be worn with everything—from denim and a warm sweater to an evening dress."

Style Notes: Leonie Hanne is a member of the Paris Texas fan club. She wore the label's patent boots during fashion month with a mini skirt and blazer combo, showing us all how to get more wear out of our minis.
