I'm a 47-Year-Old Editor—This Is How I Wear This Season's Biggest Trend

When you scroll through the feed of fashion director Tracey Lea Sayer aka Trays Lounge, you can't help but feel a smile creep across your face. Personable, fashion-filled and resolutely inclusive, Tracey is leading the way in a new guard of Instagrammers bringing personality and inside expertise to the platform. If you need proof, just check out her Insta captions…

With a wardrobe that orientates around a versatile edit of separates that feel both wearable and cool (and no, I'm not going to talk about "age-appropriateness"), Tracey's style skills are all about inventive layering and directional twists on classics. But out of her considerable clothing collection, there is one item that gets more airtime than all the others, and that is the boilersuit.

Fast becoming her signature look, a large proportion of Tracey's outfits are made up of utilitarian all-in-ones in every colour and silhouette you could imagine (she even has an Instagram Story highlight dedicated to the trend). Needless to say, she has become an unending source of style inspiration for the team here areBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing .

Because we thought it would be unfair of her to keep all of this excellent boilersuit knowledge to herself, we decided to put Tracey's obsession to the test and challenge her to wear a boilersuit a day for a week. Of course, she did not disappoint. From Marks Spencer's sellout style to La Redoute's red showstopper, scroll down to see Tracey's boilersuit edit.

Style Notes: "This black boilersuit is a bit dressier than I'd usually go for. I've realised I have started dressing like I did in the '80s and '90s more and more. I had a similar one way back then!"

Style Notes: "Not for the faint-hearted! When you get to a certain age you start to feel a bit invisible. Two years ago, I decided to start enjoying clothes again that would get me noticed. Maybe my Instagram journey is a big fat midlife crisis, but at least it holds me accountable for how I look every day, and that can only be a good thing."
