How Our Fashion Friends Look Chic in the Summer Heat

Whether you're intent on spending the next few months in the city or are have planned has many beach getaways as possible, there's no denying that dressing for summer presents its own set of sartorial dilemmas. Sometimes it's hot (like blisteringly), and other times, it's overcast. And it can even get cold—particularly where Blighty is concerned.

In general, though, because we're so used to the colder months that when it does finally get scorching, we can be at a loss as to what to wear. So, to help you navigate the hotter temperatures in style, we have selected six of our favourite bloggers to show us, once and for all, what to wear in summer. From the breathable fabric Lucy Williams always wears to the colour that's guaranteed to keep you feeling cool in any climate, keep scrolling to see and shop the outfits that'll see you through the summer season.

Style Notes: If you're the sort of girl who always feels the cold, try layering a sleek lightweight blazer over a strappy top and a mini skirt like Eni. Should temperatures rise, rest assured that it'll look achingly cool shoulder-robed, too.

Style Notes: Linen trousers often get a bad rep (the creasing alone is a nightmare), but when it comes to keeping cool, they're unrivalled. Wear a wide-leg pair with matching crop top like Monikh for a grown-up way to show off your midriff.

Style Notes: One of the first rules of navigating the heat is to wear dresses that don't cling or make you warmer than you need to be. Wrap styles, much like Vanessa's, are ideal for this as you can loosen them off as the day goes on.

Style Notes: Shorts are a heat wave no-brainer. If you were in any doubt as to how to make them look polished, simply opt for a shirt in the same hue. Then, make like Charlotte and finish with a pair of heeled sandals.

Style Notes: You don't have to flash flesh to stay feeling fresh in the summer sun; it's all about wearing cooling colours. Karina's white midi being a prime example.

Style Notes: Fabric choices are a key factor to consider when compiling summer outfits. Linen and cotton are a given, while silk (in this case, Lucy's slip skirt) presents another breathable option.
