I've Covered Zara’s Black Friday Sale for 8 Years—Here Are the Deals I'm Excited for (and Secret Savings to Shop Now)
Zara's Black Friday 2024 sale is fast approaching and, if you're anything like me, you're already very excited about it! But before we get into the discounts, let me tell you a little story...
A few years ago, Zara, quite unexpectedly, entered into the realm of the big Black Friday sale for the first time after staunchly avoiding it. Unlike many retailers that continue to do Black Friday for a fortnight, Zara's sale was quite abruptly called Friday 23, and it offered 20% off selected items. It set a precedent that we had, up until that point, thought was impossible. This is a retailer that reluctantly goes into sale even at the most traditional times of the year, so it was weird and exciting that it took part in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday parade.
Since then, Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become a far greater presence in the world of discounting and peak retail moments. And yes, although the occasion normally marks the moment your inbox is flooded with offers of half-price paddle boards, clothes steamers or air fryers, it is quite a good time to consider investment purchases of the wardrobe variety. This is why I'm eagerly anticipating Zara's upcoming Black Friday sale!
Having covered Zara's Black Friday sale since it started, you could say I'm something of an expert on the subject. So, I've poured my knowledge into this, your ultimate guide on how to shop Zara's Black Friday sale in 2024.
When Does Zara's Black Friday Sale 2024 Begin?
If we're to follow the patten of last year, we can expected Zara's Black Friday sale for 2024 begin on the brand's app on the evening of Thursday 28 November 2024, the eve of Black Friday at 10pm, which it did last year. Typically the wider sale then rolls out online later that evening and in-store the next day. Traditionally, the brand does not extend its in-store opening hours for Black Friday.
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday weekend is an annual shopping event that originated in the US. It marks the end of Thanksgiving and the start of the festive shopping season, resulting in the majority of well-known—and even, in recent years, smaller—brands and retailers heading into a period sale for a full four days.
When is Black Friday 2024?
For 2024, Black Friday falls on Friday 29 November 2024. Black Friday always lands within the final weekend of November, regardless of the year.
What Will Zara's Black Friday 2024 Discount Be?
Last year, Zara upped the ante with 40% off selected styles for Black Friday. Previous years have seen site-wide discounts of 20 and 25%, so we'll be eager to see what the brand chooses to do in 2024.
How Long Does Zara's Black Friday Sale 2024 Last for?
Unlike other retailers, Zara's Black Friday shopping event is very short-lived, as was proven in 2023. In 2022 there was no sale continuation for Cyber Monday—everything came to an end on the Sunday evening, and last year things ended swiftly by the Saturday. I suspect the same scenario will play out in 2024, meaning the window of opportunity to snag a Zara Black Friday deal is likely to be small.
What Should I Buy in Zara's Black Friday Sale 2024?
We consider sale purchases to be just as much of an investment as full-price purchases, and we never recommend shopping frivolously and without thought just because something is cheaper than it was previously. Firstly, our editors always look for items they considered buying when they were full-price, this taking the allure of the deal out of the mix.
Sales such as Black Friday present a great opportunity, however, to buy more expensive pieces at a discount. Zara has become increasingly premium over the years, and despite there still being a more affordable offering in stores and online, it is the most considered and elevated pieces that the team atBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing are usually most interested in. We're talking about the real-leather jackets, the more expensive handbags, the best wool coats, leather trousers and accessories, and perfect-fit tailoring. When it comes to sensible sale shopping, it's all about pinpointing classic, long-lasting items over trend-driven throwaway pieces. A neutral coat, great pair of jeans or oversized shirt, for example, could always be considered a wise purchase if the fabrics are good and the cut suits you.
Think about what you already own in your wardrobe; will this Black Friday purchase work with what you already wear? Will it fill a gap you had already identified? Is it the sort of thing you can see yourself wearing again and again? These are all avenues to consider before you add to basket.
Upon looking at the Zara website, I also found a secret stash of pre-Black Friday discounts, which I didn't expect to see from the brand. With up to 48% off, these early deals aren't to be missed.

Barn jackets are a major trend right now, making this a wise investment.
Balloon, horseshoe, barrel—whatever you call them, this jeans shape is still going to be huge in 2025.
Wear this with wide-leg trousers for evenings out, or peeking out from underneath a cardigan for day-to-day styling.
Just add chunky gold bangles and strappy sandals and you have the ultimate evening look.
The ideal cover up for the point in the year, at a price no one can argue with.
Short tweed jackets will make everything you wear with them look polished.
This chic belted blazer also comes in black and dove grey, too (both of which are discounted).
I bought this earlier in the year and get so much wear out of it. Now, I might treat myself to the blue colour way.
Pair these with a cashmere jumper and suede boots for an elegant everyday ensemble.
