I Tried Beauty Pie’s Best Sellers—This Is What I’d Actually Buy
As a beauty editor, there are lots of different and new beauty products that land on my desk, from perfume to moisturiser. The truth is, these days there are just so many new beauty launches to keep up with. It seems like there is a new celebrity skincare/makeup/fragrance launch every week, and that’s on top of the many pre-existing beauty brands who are already offer so many options. It can be a real minefield to navigate what products your skin needs, how to build a skincare routine and what products are actually worth the money. After all, there is nothing more infuriating than throwing your hard-earned money at an over-hyped or expensive product that ends up not fulfilling its promises.
How does Beauty Pie work?
However, there’s a little-known beauty industry secret that you might not know about. Typically, when you see a new beauty product launch, the price tag won’t factor in just the cost of the formula. Take a night cream that retails for £130. It won’t actually cost that amount to produce in the factory. A cut will be factored in to go to marketing the product via advertisements, a cut might go to a celebrity ambassador, a cut for the retailer’s margins, and the list goes on. That face cream might only cost £10 to produce, but the retail price will be bumped up from the middlemen and overheads involved in between bringing it from the factory and into the store. Before you know it, it has a much bigger price tag.
There aren’t many brands that I would call revolutionary, but when Beauty Pie launched in 2016, beauty editors were all in agreement that it was something very unique, which isn’t a term we throw around lightly in this industry. Beauty Pie’s founder, Marcia Kilgore (who is also the brains behind Soap Glory, Bliss and FitFlop) saw the opportunity to bring the incredible formulas direct from the factories, without the mark-up of the middlemen. The savings are passed straight on to you, so that moisturiser that costs £130 can be yours for around £10 mark.
How much is a Beauty Pie membership?
Beauty Pie effectively works like Netflix, but for beauty. From £10 a month, you have access to buy skincare, makeup, hair care, body care and candles at factory prices. Beauty Pie work with some of the best suppliers from around the world, so you can guarantee that its formulas are among some of the best in the industry. And for an annual cost of £59, you can become a member for 12 entire months and access member prices. One of my most asked questions as a beauty editor is: Is Beauty Pie membership worth it? My answer is always yes, providing you know what to buy.
If you want in and want to know what some of the best Beauty Pie products are, I tried its bestsellers to see how they stack up against my favourite products that I’m currently using.
The Best Beauty Pie Products, Reviewed
1. C-Wave Light Facial LED Treatment Mask
Price shown is members' price.
When Beauty Pie first launched its LED mask, it flew off the warehouse shelves, so if you want in, you had best move fast because it's finally back in stock. And genuinely, it's one of the best LED masks I've tried. It's worth £250, but available to Beauty Pie members for just £120. From smoothing wrinkles to plumping the skin, there are so many benefits of LED. I've not seen an LED mask with this level of tech for such a reasonable price point before. I've done a full review of the Beauty Pie LED Mask mask, and can promise the results are great.
Mica Ricketts, Freelance Beauty Editor's Review: "I've tried some seriously expensive LED masks for work, and this one has blown me away with its efficacy considering the price point. Now that I'm 35 I'm definitely starting to notice that my skin is losing elasticity and brightness, and using this every night has made a marked difference to the tone, texture and fullness of my face. Plus, as someone that's prone to breakouts, it has really helped to keep my skin calm too."
2. Youthbomb Collagen Peptide + Glow Duo
Price shown is members' price.
The Youthbomb range is one of Beauty Pie's best lines—hands down. Created with consultant dermatologist Dr Andrew Markey, he says this formula kickstarts your skin to “switch your glow back on”, and I couldn't agree more. Using both the serum and moisturiser in tandem unlocked an unrivalled glow that I've never seen my skin have. I've just run out, so I'm taking advantage of this duo kit to stock up on both again.
Mica's Review: "I use the entire Youthbomb range as part of my regular skincare routine, and have recommended it to so many people over the years. The serum in particular is incredible at boosting glow and smoothing texture, while the moisturiser really does transform my tired skin when I use it of a morning. It's more of an investment than some other products in the Beauty Pie lineup, but entirely worth it."
3. Luminous Mineral Skin Tint Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 Sunscreen
Price shown is members' price.
Seriously, this is one of the best tinted SPFs I've tried. It's ultra lightweight on the skin and lives up to its luminous name, making the skin look radiant, not overly dewy or matte. The coverage is just enough to even out the skin tone, but it still lets your complexion shine through. The addition of SPF 40 is a bonus layer of protection, too.
Mica's Review: " I couldn't agree with Eleanor more—this really is one of the best tinted SPFs on the market. I don't tend to wear full-coverage foundations much these days, but I often find that skin tints don't make any visible difference to my skin. This one really does minimise redness and diffuse texture, but it does so without looking heavy. The finish is fresh, dewy and natural—and impressively long-wearing too."
4. Plantastic Genius Ginseng Eye Energy Cream
Price shown is members' price.
My thirties have just approached, and I'm firmly in my dark under-eye circles era. This eye cream spoke to me, and I can confirm that it really does help to reduce their appearance. It helps to illuminate and hydrate the under eye area, making it great prep for makeup in the mornings too. I now can't live without this eye cream.
Mica's Review: "As someone that always looks tired, I will try anything that promises to brighten and rejuvenate my tired eyes. This one does both—adding a luminosity to dark circles and de-puffing swollen eyes with just the smallest amount."
5. Brazilian Lime, Fig Leaves Tea Deluxe Body Wash
Price shown is members' price.
I love a fancy designer body wash, but I just can't justify spending £40 upwards on a shower gel. Thankfully, Beauty Pie has us covered with this chic bottle at just £15, which feels reasonable for something a little fancier than a supermarket body wash, and this scent could easily pass for three times the price. The smell is heavenly and invigorating with a squeeze of zesty lime, sweet fig and mood-boosting tea.
Grace Day, Freelance Beauty Editor’s Review: "As someone who doesn’t have a bath, I love nothing more than a fancy shower gel to elevate my morning routine. Beauty Pie’s are my go-tos to recommend because they always smell so incredible. This one not only fills my entire bathroom with its delicious fruity aroma, but the scent lingers on my skin all day long, too."
6. Super Retinol (+ Vitamin C) Night Renewal Moisturiser
Price shown is members' price.
If you're new to retinol this is a great product to try. Retinol works by plumping wrinkles and fine lines, and is one of the only proven ingredients to work against these. It also has antioxidants vitamin C and ferulic acid, which brighten the skin and reduce pigmentation. This formula contains shea butter, which is intensely hydrating, so it's a great option if you have dry skin.
Mica's Review: "I am always nervous about trying a new retinol product, having had some pretty bad reactions to potent formulations in the past, but this is as gentle as they come. I wasn't sold on the addition of shea butter in this, as someone with oily skin, but actually I think it's the reason that I'm able to apply this regularly with no irritation of flakiness. Instead, my skin looks smoother and brighter, and existing breakouts and acne scarring are diminished."
7. Superdrops Brightening Niacinamide (10%)
Price shown is members' price.
Niacinamide (or vitamin B3) is one of those wonder ingredients that gets on with every skin type. It's soothing on the skin, but it is particularly good if you have oily or combination skin and are prone to breakouts. Niacinamide works to minimise the look of pores, too, and Beauty Pie's trials found that 84% saw less breakouts after four weeks, which is pretty impressive.
Mica's Review: "I feel like this is a bit of an unsung hero from Beauty Pie, but it's probably the serum that I've repurchased most often from the brand. It's simple, but effective—calming existing breakouts and reducing the frequency of new ones. Plus, as someone with really visible pores, I've been really impressed at how much smoother my skin looks when I use this regularly."
8. Triple Hyaluronic Acid Lipopeptide Serum
Price shown is members' price.
A hyaluronic acid serums go, Beauty Pie's Triple Hyaluronic Acid Serum is one of the best. Honestly, if I could bathe in this serum, I would. Hyaluronic acid works by intensely hydrating the skin. This formula contains multiple molecular weights of the ingredient which basically acts like an all-access card to get into certain layers of your skin, so you get long-lasting hydration. I was seriously impressed with how this hydrated my skin, and the addition of skin-fortifying ceramides are brilliant at calming and repairing stressed skin.
Mica's Review: "Possibly Beauty Pie's hero product, this is a deeply hydrating hyaluronic acid that sinks into the skin beautifully to leave it really plump and glowy. It's simple, but I love that it layers well with other more active ingredients and really helps to keep my skin barrier in check."
9. Super Healthy Skin Deluxe Moisture Body Crème
Price shown is members' price.
Beauty Pie's body care is incredible, and this body cream has a loyal fanbase—including me. While my complexion is combination, the skin on my body is forever parched and most lotions don't cut it. The ones that do are typically really expensive, so I love that this comes in at a more affordable price point while delivering on its promises. Seriously, when I twisted open the cap I gasped at how luxuriously thick this body cream is. Not only is it intensely hydrating (thanks to shea butter and nourishing oils), but it isn't overly perfumed, which my sensitive skin rates.
Grace’s Review: "Body care is the one area of my beauty routine that I’m prone to neglecting. However, since being introduced to this body cream, I’ve not skipped my post-shower hydration once. This ticks all the boxes for me, from its thick, whipped texture to its bright, sunny scent, and the way it instantly drenches skin with moisture without leaving greasy residue. Ten out of ten!"
10. Superluminous Under-Eye Genius
Price shown is members' price.
If you're not currently using an under-eye corrector, then please allow me to get you onto Beauty Pie Superluminous Under-Eye Genius. I've been loyal to a premium under-eye corrector before, but I would always wince at the price whenever I go to re-purchase. This one is pretty much the same. The balmy-cream texture melts into the skin to colour-correct my dark circles. When I use this, I find I can use less concealer, which also leads to less creasing. It comes in three shades (pink to counteract blue-toned under eye circles on fair skin colours, a peachy-brown hue to disguise brown-toned dark circles, which are typically found in darker skin tones and a deeper hue to counteract blue and purple-toned under eye circles on darker skin tones).
Mica's Review: "I bought this after having my first child and recommend it to every new mum that crosses my path. I love that it's so easy to apply—you don't even need a mirror—and the difference that it makes is truly transformative. I can have clocked up less than a handful of hours sleep and just a small amount of this pressed beneath my eyes will give the illusion of someone that's well-rested and ready to face the day."
Price shown is members' price.
If you have darker skin and brown-toned under eyes, then this shade is ideal to brighten and conceal.

This deeper hue works to counteract blue and purple-toned under eye circles on darker skin tones.
11. Japanfusion Pure Transforming Cleanser
Price shown is members' price.
I was first introduced to this cleanser by one of my best friends who has incredible skin, so I was eager to try it—I wasn't let down. It has a gel-to-oil-to-milk texture, so it makes light work of melting away makeup and leaving skin cleansed, but not uncomfortable. And I can confirm that it even melts away waterproof mascara and it won't sting your eyes either. And at £10, this is a very affordable buy.
Mica's Review: "A gorgeous and gently cleanser that I personally love as a morning cleanse. My skin always feels so soft, smooth and juicy after using this."
12. Japanfusion Genius Lift Elixir
Price shown is members' price.
If you want skin that looks like you've downed two litres of water and just emerged from a fancy facial, then check this out. This serum instantly plumps and moisturises skin, leaving it looks luminous and radiant. It does have a slight oily-like consistency which is lightweight, but may be more suitable for dry or mature skin types looking for intense hydration.
Shannon Lawlor,Best Knockoff Luxury Clothing
beauty director's review: "This stuff is a true all-rounder. I have a one-and-done mentality when it comes to my serums, and Japanfusion Genius Lift Elixir delivers exactly that. It leaves my skin feeling plump, looking radiant and generally in its healthiest-looking state. It's suitable for all skin types and you really can't go wrong."
13. Featherlight UVA/UVB SPF 50 Sunscreen + Primer
Price shown is members' price.
I struggle to find that SPFs that work for my skin. They either feel way too heavy on my combination skin, sting my sensitive eyes or won't sit well under makeup. This one passed with flying colours. Not only is it true to its name of being lightweight, but the formula has liquid lotion-like texture, which is great alone or underneath makeup. It's not overly dewy and not matte either, it sits within a happy medium.
Mica's Review: "So many sunscreens sting my eyes, but this one is really gentle and I can wear it all day without any irritation. I love that it has a velvety finish on the skin so my makeup layers well on top without slipping and sliding about. And it doesn't leave behind any sticky residue or white cast either."
14. Youthbomb 360° Radiance Concentrate
Price shown is members' price.
This is one of Beauty Pie's latest innovations which was developed with world-renowned Consultant Dermatologist, Dr Andrew Markey, and Beauty Pie liken this product to the expensive doctor-led brands on the market. It contains 15 active ingredients to achieve a 15-prong approach to anti-ageing by firming, brightening and hydrating the skin. You only have to look at the 5-star reviews to know it's good.
Grace’s Review: “When I want my skin to have that juicy, plumped-up effect, I reach for this serum. It instantly makes my skin look like a brighter, healthier version of itself.”
15. Super Healthy Skin Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream
Price shown is members' price.
This is such a hard-working moisturiser. It contains hydrating hyaluronic acid and leaves skin so soft. It also has actives and antioxidants to defend against pollution, leaving skin shielded and protected throughout the day. It sinks in easily and makes a great base for makeup too.
Customer Review: "I've lost count of how many jars of this I've gone through! My skin can be a bit fussy at times but this Super Healthy Skin cream has never been an issue, leaves my skin feeling (and hopefully looking!) plump and healthy. Sinks in so well."
16. Plantastic Apricot Butter Cleansing Balm
Price shown is members' price.
I'm always a bit skeptical of cleansing balms as they can sometimes irritate my skin, but this one from Beauty Pie is truly heavenly. Just a small amount removes even the most stubborn of makeup, and my skin is left feeling clean, soft and soothed. However, the best bit about this balm is the scent. I'm not lying when I say that it makes my bathroom feel like my very own spa.
Shannon's Review: "I'm a big cleansing balm person, and I have to say this is one my favourite around. I love the gentle scent, the way it melts away all traces of makeup and keeps my skin beautifully radiant without leaving behind an oily film."
17. Vanille Nue Eau De Parfum
Price shown is members' price.
I love a warm, vanilla scent for the winter months, and this Beauty Pie one is my go-to. Not only is this perfume super affordable, but thanks to the addition of cocoa butter, jasmine and musk. it smells totally addictive too.
Mica's Review: "I love a vanilla scent and this one is delicious. The floral notes keep it from becoming overly gourmand, but it has a beautiful depth and warmth that will get you so many compliments when you wear it."
18. Super Healthy Hair Seven Oil Hair Elixir
Price shown is members' price.
Rich in strand-nourishing oils—including macadamia, jojoba, peach kernel, rosehip, wheat germ, olive and rice—this golden elixir hair oil will transform even the most dry and flyaway of strands into a smooth and healthy head of hair.
Mica's Review: "I absolutely love this product! I use it on damp hair when I've just got out of the shower, before blow-drying, and also on dry styles to smooth frizz and add gloss. It works beautifully without weighing hair down or leaving it greasy, and it smells absolutely incredible too."

Grace's Review: "'If it's good enough for your face then it's good enough for your body' is the theory behind this multitasking cleanser—which has totally streamlined my in-shower routine. The gentle but effective blend of acids and enzymes helps to exfoliate skin from head to toe, resulting in smoother texture and brighter skin tone."

There is a certain sellout highlighter that looks very similar to this one, and this one is just as good. It instantly adds radiance to cheekbones without any glitter—just an expensive-looking sheen.

Price shown is members' price.
Don't let Beauty Pie's candles pass you by. They're seriously good, and make your home smell like an expensive hotel. This one is a fan-favourite and is aptly called Clean House, with notes of lavender, freesia and clean cotton sheets. It's also made in Grasse, France, which is essentially the fragrance capital of the world. It fill the room (and your whole home) with a clean laundry scent that you can still smell for hours after blowing it out.
Grace's Review: "Whenever I need to be in the mood to clean, I light this candle. The throw is so impressive that it fills my entire house with a fresh but cosy scent within minutes."
Wondercolour Longwear Cream Eyeshadow Stick
Price shown is members' price.
Many compare these eyeshadow sticks to other premium versions. This shade is so flattering on everyone and is crease- and smudge-proof. I'd say this is a great affordable alternative to some of the more expensive eyeshadow sticks.
Mica Ricketts, Freelance Beauty Editor's Review: "I am so lazy with my makeup so I love that these eyeshadow sticks can be literally scribbled onto my eyelids and blended out with my fingertips—creating a beautiful eye look in mere seconds."
Sleepeasy Luxury Mulberry Silk Pillowcase
Price shown is member price.
A silk pillowcase is a great investment for your hair, leaving it less prone to breakage and frizz. Beauty Pie's version makes it a great way to invest without breaking the bank.
Shannon's Review: "I'm not hot on the way that silk pillowcases look on my bed, and I typically find them too expensive to justify. However, I appreciate just how good they are for your hair, and this is the first one that sold me on using them more often. I own other silk pillowcases double its price, and it feels equally as luxurious."
Shinkai Electrolyte Drench 3-In-1 Deep Hydrating Gel Cream
Price shown is member price.
There’s a reason why this refreshing gel-cream moisturiser is always sold out, and you only have to take a quick scan of the reviews to see why. Thanks to its high water content and ingredients like glycerin, squalane and hyaluronic acid, this truly does drench skin with moisture. I introduced it to one of my best friends and now she refuses to use any other moisturiser on her skin.
Shannon's Review: “My oily skin laps this stuff up. I adore a gel-like consistency that remains light on the skin but packs a seriously glow-boosting, hydrating punch. Whenever my skin is in a bad way, I know I can count on this moisturiser to get things back on track."
