I Thought I Had No Clothes, But I Own Everything I Need for These Easy Summer Looks
I know firsthand that there's nothing more annoying than being challenged after saying (or yelling) "I have nothing to wear," but I'm sorry—I must tell you that I'm here today to do just that. But the truth is we all have countless cute pieces in our wardrobes or, at the very least, enough basics to put together outfit after outfit. What I realised can be lacking at times is the creativity or inspiration to do so.
With that in mind, I went looking—on Instagram, of course—for outfit ideas that I knew could be replicated with clothes I already own, and honestly, it was pretty easy. After finding a plethora of looks, I narrowed down my nine favourites to share with you here today because, as always, I've got your back. To see which made the cut and, of course, shop them if you so please—because, after all, this isBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing —just keep scrolling.
1. Bright Button-Down + Jorts + Strappy Sandals
Style Notes: Jeans and a crisp shirt is a year-round formula that never lets you down. Come summer, opt for denim shorts and a button-down in an uplifting hue.
Shop the Look:
2. Silk Scarf + White Dress
Style Notes: Apparently, the simple addition of a silk scarf around your head makes your white-dress outfit 10 times chicer.
Shop the Look:
3. White Tank + Slip Skirt
Style Notes: Tank top? Check. Slip skirt? Check. Great outfit? Check.
Shop the Look:
4. Black Dress + Gold Earrings + Sandals
Style Notes: Black dresses as just as handy for summer as their white counterparts; in fact, I'd argue they look even chicer, especially paired with co-ordinating black accessories and gold earrings.
Shop the Look:
The chicest way to finish any outfit.
5. Embroidered Top + Linen Trousers
Style Notes: This look can take you anywhere, from work to dinner to brunch.
Shop the Look:
6. Full White Skirt + Halter Top
Style Notes: White maxi skirts are the moment this year, and Ellie perfectly demonstrates how to style one in the chicest way; with a black halter and mesh ballet flats.
Shop the Look:
Mesh flats are very on trend for summer 2024.
7. Cardigan + Strappy Dress + Ballet Flats
Style Notes: Make any simple sundress feel French by layering a cute cardigan over it and adding ballet flats.
Shop the look:
8. Silk Shirt + Long Shorts + Slingbacks
Style Notes: Yes, summer evening outfits can be that simple, and boy doesn't it work!
Shop the Look:
These also look great with mules, trainers or sandals.
9. Linen Shirt + Linen Trousers + Mule Slides
Style Notes: If you're looking for versatile pieces to wear this summer, you can't go wrong with a linen shirt and trouser combo. I love Brittany's more casual look with the plain t-shirt and mule slides, but the shirt and trousers can also easily be dressed up with a pair of strappy heels and a clutch bag for evenings out.
Shop the Look:
Opting for a smarter shoe will polish up your linen outfit.
