The Easy Two-Part Outfit Every Editor on Our Team Swears By

Any outfit that takes less than 30 seconds to style is a total miracle in our book. Last year, it was all about the chunky-boots-and-jeans aesthetic, which, when worn with a shacket, became the fail-safe outfit option for winter walks and outdoor socialising. This year, however, there's a new ensemble proving a hit amongst those in the know, one that's just as easy to re-create.

A couple of weeks ago, our editors came together to share their favourite winter outfits. That was when we realised many of us were wearing the same look on repeat. Although all of our colleagues have their own unique sense of style and tend to gravitate towards different things, we agreed that slip skirts and jumpers are where it's at right now. Offering just the right amount of polish (via the slip's satin fabric) alongside a good dose of cosy winter comfort (thanks to the chunky knit), this two-part outfit formula can do no wrong. It's also versatile enough to be dressed up with knee-high boots and adapted for the weekend with your aforementioned chunky boots.

This is such a simple look to put together. The fashion crowd have loved embracing tonal colourways, and in our opinion, it's the easiest way to work the trend. Beiges and creams are an excellent way to go, too, as evidenced by Monikh Dale. But if you want a little more impact, then try a clash with a bold patterned knit. Trust us—try this outfit pairing this now, and you won't look back. Scroll down to see our favourite jumper-and-slip-skirt outfits, then continue to browse some beautiful combinations.
