I Just Tried the Reformation Jeans Celebs and Fashion People Won't Stop Wearing
From classic straight-leg to bold wide-leg jeans, Reformation's denim collection is celebrity and editor-approved. Now, I've put the best styles to the test.
For fashion editors, there are a few ways that we find out about a great buy. One is personal experience, knowing the look or composition of a piece is sure to set it apart from the rest. Next is celebrity sightings, especially when a piece is worn by the most stylish people around. Finally, there are the sales. With access to a certain amount of data, we can see the pieces that our fashionable readers are adding to their wardrobes. In very (very!) rare cases, all three come together. One such case is Reformation’s beloved jeans.
Jessica Alba wears the Reformation Cary High Rise Slouchy Wide Leg Jeans ( £178)
Whether it’s Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber sporting the almost-always-sold-out newspaper jeans, Ashley Graham in blue skinny jeans, or Jessica Alba in the consistently hyped Cary jeans, the celebrity appetite for Reformation denim is well documented. Of course, fashion people have caught on, with a series of sightings and endorsements, including special mentions consistently from our own editors. For me, I’ve had a longstanding adoration for Reformation’s denim, which has managed to meet even my high standards. From testing out the consistently best-selling Cynthia jeans to the petite lengths introduced late last year, I figured I’d bring together the very best Reformation jeans, curated just for you.
Liv wears the Reformation Val 90's Mid Straight Jeans (£178)
Whilst the brand’s denim may have first drawn attention through playful prints, it’s the enduring classic styles that I consistently come back to. Denim can often be a trickier purchase, balancing cut, fit and fabric, and when we rely on them so much, we want them to be just right. From cosy winter days bundled up in sumptuous cashmere to simple summer pairings with a tank top, our denim will work hard throughout the year. And if any are up to the challenge, it’s Reformation’s best jeans. One note, though— they do come up long, so if you’re shorter like me, check out their dedicated petite styles or head to your local dry cleaners for easy alterations.

1. Cynthia High Rise Straight Jeans
Style Notes: I've been on the hunt for a new pair of straight-leg jeans, and the Cynthia is about to become my go-to. This pair fit true to size and features a rigid denim that still feels comfortable. Whether heading out for a coffee stroll or dressing up for dinner out, these classic jeans will always look the part. Plus, certain colourways have short and long length options.
2. The Cary Low Rise Slouchy Wide Leg Jeans
Florrie wears the Reformation Cary Low Rise Slouchy Wide Leg Jeans in Summit (£178)
Style Notes: As an editor, I've tried plenty of jeans in my time, and found wide-leg styles the hardest to get right. It should come as no surprise that Reformation's pair is spot on. The waist fits perfectly, and the loose leg is cut not to overwhelm, but still be impactful. Here I've tried the low-rise version, but the Cary also comes in a high-rise form. I'm ready to style these with boots and a leather jacket, or a smart shirt and trench coat for work.
2. The Val 90's Mid Straight Jeans
atStyle Notes: After hearing great things about the Val, I was keen to try them myself. With a looser shape, this pair embodies a relaxed feel, but can still be taken from day-to-night by swapping a T-shirt for a nice top. The Val does have a longer length than the Cynthia, but look to the short and long options for the perfect fit.
4. The Greta Super Stretch Wide Leg Jeans
Florrie wears the Reformation Greta Super Stretch Wide Leg Jeans in Reservoir (£178)
Style Notes: I believe that denim should always be comfortable, but Reformation ensures it with this pair. A touch of stretch is added through 1% of spandex, alongside the 74% Regeneratively Grown Cotton, 20% Recycled Cotton and 5% Elastomultiester. This low-rise style has a relaxed, wide-leg cut, with a true-to-size fit.
