This Expensive-Looking H&M Top Is the First Thing I've Bought in Months
As far as high-street labels go, this summer I have to say I have been very impressed with the selection at H&M. From linen-blend joggers to puff-sleeve dresses, the brand has created an elevated offering of polished, expensive-looking pieces that seem much more high-end than their very reasonable price tags.
In fact, a few of the pieces in the brand's recent collection could easily be mistaken for designer and have already caught the attention of several in-the-know influencers. Made in an airy, cotton-blend fabric, H&M's Crinkled Wrapover Blouse has been worn by both Katherine Ormerod and Claire Wakeman and just so happens to be the only purchase I've treated myself to during lockdown. Featuring a woven texture and oversize puff sleeves, the top looks akin to a designer piece you'd find on the shelves of Selfridges or Harrods, created by an up-and-coming contemporary brand, but is retailing for a fraction of the price. Paired alongside its matching skirt, the blouse is elevated enough to take you to a fancy event, yet it also works just as well with denim shorts for a summer evening picnic or stroll.
