I'm a Fragrance Snob, But These 24 Zara Perfumes Smell Designer
It's no secret that we're fans of Zara here. We're always keeping an eye on the new arrivals section, trying to uncover the best finds and we love to find those designer-inspired buys that will be trending for the season ahead. What can we say? The retailer just consistently delivers when it comes to clothes and accessories. But I'm going to let you in on a not-so-secret secret that just might blow your mind: Zara also has some of the best perfumes too. In fact, there are plenty of Zara perfume dupes that smell like the real deal. So yeah, you could consider it a one-stop shop. If that's news to you, you're welcome.
When it comes to Zara's beauty section, you don't want to sleep on the fragrances—many of which were created by some of the world's top perfumers. There's a scent for just about any mood and occasion, from fresh florals to something woodsy to ones with a little bit of spice. The best news? In true Zara fashion, they are at an amazing price point. You can't find a fragrance over £36 here (most come in around the £20 mark). At that price, you could add a couple to your perfume collection to keep on rotation.
Since the inventory is pretty extensive, we've tried to narrow it down for you and shared some of the best ones to buy below.
Shop The Best Zara Perfumes:
1. Wonder Rose
Key notes: Peach, pomelo flower, sambac jasmine flower, vanilla and coconut
Intensity: Medium
If you're looking for a classic floral, here it is. The fresh fragrance contains notes of pomelo flower, black vanilla and green tea.
2. Golden Decade
Key notes: Jasmine, orange blossom, mandarin and lavender
Intensity: Medium
This perfume will transport you to fun and carefree summer nights, even in the dead of winter. It has notes of orange blossom, jasmine, mandarin and lavender.
3. Peony
Key notes: Pear, blackcurrant, peony, rose, vanilla and praline
Intensity: Light
With floral notes of rose, iris and peony alongside juicy pear and blackcurrant, this is a unique twist on a classic floral scent and is perfect for a vibrant, everyday scent.
4. Sublime Epoque
Key notes: Jasmine, tuberose, orange blossom, vanilla and cedar
Intensity: Light
The bergamot in this gives it a bit of a light, airy feel, but it's balanced out with sweet notes of vanilla and tuberose.
5. Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes
Key notes: Bergamot, ginger, tangerine, amber, orange blossom and blackcurrant
Intensity: Medium
Bergamot is always a classic note in fragrances—who doesn't love that fresh, citrus smell? This eau de parfum also contains notes of tangerine and orange blossom. I think it works year-round, but I'd wear it especially in the spring and summer months.
6. Red Vanilla
Key notes: Iris, peony, tangerine, raspberry and vanilla
Intensity: Light
Don't let the "vanilla" in this perfume's name fool you. It's far from boring and average. The nighttime fragrance is warm and sensual, with notes of tangerine, iris, and vanilla.
7. Applejuice
Key notes: Apple, orange, pink grapefruit, rose, jasmine, cedar and sandalwood
Intensity: Light
This fresh scent is perfect for brightening autumnal days thanks to notes of apple, pink grapefruit, violet and orange.
8. Red Temptation
Key notes: Saffron, orange, jasmine, praline, moss and amber
Intensity: Medium
Supposedly, this is the high street version of Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 eau de parfum. It's usually out of stock, so move quickly if you want to try it. If you're not familiar with the scent, it has spicy saffron and coriander opener, which moves into bitter orange and jasmine, before drying down into an addictive praline, moss and woody amber notes with a touch of musk. Heaven.
9. Hypnotic Vanilla
Key notes: Apricot flower, jasmine, vanilla bourbon, moss and caramel
Intensity: Medium
This fragrance has a little bit of everything with hints of sweet and powdery notes amongst explosive florals. It's the kind of perfume you can wear day to night. It smells very similar to Dior's Hypnotic Poison fragrance.
10. Ebony Wood
Key notes: Pink pepper, clove and ebony wood
Intensity: High
Zara has the woody scents if you're looking for that, too. This one is infused with scents of pink pepper, clove and ebony wood so it's a little bit spicy and earthy at the same time.
11. Vetiver Pamplemousse
Key notes: Grapefruit, tangerine and vetiverIntensity: LightI love this fragrance because it's a bit mysterious. It has fruity notes of grapefruit and tangerine for a fresh feeling, but it's also got an indulgent touch of vetiver.
12. Myself Flower
Key notes: Rose, peach and cedarwood
Intensity: Light
This one is just so cheery and lively. It has those happy notes of peach, rose, and warming cedarwood.
13. Amber Fusion
Key notes: Bergamot, tangerine, red berries, lily, ylang-ylang and amber
Intensity: Medium
When a fragrance is named Amber Fusion, you know you're getting something a little warming and sophisticated. It has unexpected floral notes of lily and ylang-ylang alongside sweet red berries, juicy bergamot and tangerine, and the star of the show—amber.
14. Energetically Tokyo
Key notes: Cardamom, jasmine and sandalwood
Intensity: Medium
Sandalwood is one of my favourite scents in fragrances—I love how it can be so grounding but doesn't feel too serious. In addition to sandalwood, this eau de parfum has jasmine and cardamom.
15. Femme
Key notes: Frangipani flower, peony, bergamot, orchid, vanilla and musk
Intensity: Light
Described as "warm, long-lasting, and cosy," this eau de toilette might be your signature scent to wear in the autumn and winter months. Notes include peony, vanilla, and musk.
16. Rose Gourmand
Key notes: Jasmine, tuberose, orange blossom, vanilla and cedar
Intensity: Light
Here's another cheerful, bright, and feminine pick. The unabashedly floral fragrance contains scents of jasmine, peony, rose (of course), and sweet vanilla.
17. Sensual Oud
Key notes: Saffron, clove, rose, patchouli, sandalwood, leather, amber
Intensity: High
Fans of rich oud-based perfumes will love this ambery woody scent, which melds spicy and leathery notes with fresh rose.
18. Fabulous Sweet
Key notes: Ylang ylang, tuberose and pear
Intensity: Medium
This floral and fruity scent is immediately inviting. The tubereuse scent is given depth thanks to sweer pear.
19. Angelic Vanilla
Key notes: Bergamot, almond blossom, rose, rice, myrrh, tonka bean, liquid musk, vanilla bean, velvety woods
Intensity: Medium
Yes, Zara are certainly leaning into the renaissance of vanilla perfumes, but when they do them this well it's easy to see why. Angelic Vanilla blends the delicate sweetness of almond blossom and rose petals foam with creamy vanilla bean and musk for an enchanting evening scent. This one reminds me of Kilian's Angels' Share.
20. Cherry Smoothie
Key notes: Cherry, plum, almond, vanilla, tonka bean,
Intensity: High
Gourmand fans, this one is for you. If you enjoy Tom Ford's Lost Cherry, you will like the smooth cherry, almond and tonka bean notes in this. It's fruit, sweet, mysterious and totally delicious.
21. Marshmallow Addiction
Key notes: Fruit, sunflower, vanilla, musk
Intensity: High
Although it references it in the name of the perfume, this isn't actually as marshmallowy as I'd imagined—more mango and peach gummy bear. Despite that, it's so delicious and fruity—a perfect sweet scent for summer.
22. Peach Glow
Key notes: Peach, grapefruit, praline, amber
Intensity: Light
I was expecting a fizzy peach gummy kind of scent, but this smells more like the fuzzy skin of a peach or a ice cold peach ice tea—really fruity and refreshing. Coupled with grapefruit, this is a great easy-breezy summer scent if you want something fruity but not overly saccharine.
23. Balade De Figuier
Key notes: Fig tree, citrus, petitgrain, vetiver, white musk
Intensity: Light
Imagine stepping off a boat on to a Greek Island filled with fig trees swaying in a gentle breeze and you have this fragrance. It smells so much more than its price tag suggests.
24. Linen Musk
Imagine fresh laundry blowing in the breeze on a warm summer's day, and that's the closest you'll get to envisaging exactly what this fragrance smells like. A beautiful blend of bergamot, musk, frangipani, and amber wood.
